Leaving a Legacy

Leaving a Legacy

nas Prov. 13:20 he who walks with wise men will be wise, but the companion of fools will suffer harm.
22 a good man leaves an inheritance to his children’s children, and the wealth of the sinner is stored up for the righteous.

Legacy is not about the past or about our history but it’s about our destiny – it’s about our future

what we are doing right now will empower and determine our future.

a legacy life is about purpose, covenant & investment

Prov 10:22 the blessing of the lord makes rich and he adds no sorrow to it –

3 AREAS THAT ARE IMPORTANT

1. You want to transfer to the head

proper thinking must be trasfered to the head (revelation)
WE ARE CALLED TO THINK GENERATIONALY
ex. how will my actions today affect my grandchildren? how will the seeds i’m sowing right now help somebody else?

you have to start thinking in a whole new demension before you get there.

before God builds a structure he wants to build a people

it’s not what you leave to your children, it’s what you leave in them

2. There is a transfer to the heart

purpose comes out of the vision God places in your heart.

sight is a function of the eye’s but vision is a function of the heart.

no matter where you go when god puts something in your heart you can’t get away from it.

you have not accomplished a transfer unless they become passionate and determined about it.

leagacy is about covenant: committment not convenience

3. The final transfer is a transfer that come to the hand

what you have become in your heart is what you will do with your hands

most people don’t build for the longevity of the journey

in order to run a marathon you need 4 things

1. Speed – even marathon runners need some speed

YOU HAVE TO BE QUICK WITH GOD TO OBEY –

those that don’t kill their own future, they allow the assassination of their future through a lack of preparation.

2. YOU’VE GOT TO HAVE STRENGTH

YOU HAVE TO STAY STRONG. STRONG IN THE LORD, STRONG IN GRACE, STRENGTHENED IN YOUR INNER MAN..

3. YOU’VE GOT TO HAVE TECHNIQUE! THAT ALSO MEANS TECNOLOGY!

4. FLEXABILITY – YOUR ABILITY TO ADAPT IN CHANGE

a new mental attitude.

so you’ll need speed, strength, technique and flexability

when the hand of the lord comes on you, it’s that hand he uses to confer blessings

what you have in your hand today is seed that brings forth a harvest for the future

a legacy life is about investment…
Generations are more important than gratification.

spending is for instant gratification; investing is for long-term legacy
