HOW TO EXPERIENCE GOD PT 2

Psa 63:1 O God, thou art my god; early will i seek thee: my soul thirsteth for thee, my flesh longeth for thee in a dry and thirsty land, where no water is; 2 To see thy power and thy glory, so as i have seen thee in the sanctuary.

1. HUNGER AND THIRST

mess Psa. 63:1 God—you’re my god! I can’t get enough of you! I’ve worked up such hunger and thirst for God, traveling across dry and weary deserts. 2 So here I am in the place of worship, eyes open,
drinking in your strength and glory. 3 In your generous love I am really living at last! My lips brim praises like fountains 4 I bless you every time I take a breath; my arms wave like banners of praise to you.

Matt 5:6 “Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be satisfied.

James 4:8 Draw near to god and he will draw near to you.

2. PRAYER

PRAYER IS A RESULT OF BEING HUNGRY

WE ARE TO SEEK THE LORD WITH ALL OUR HEART.
IF YOU GET HUNGRY ENOUGH FOR GOD YOU WILL GET BUSY PRAYING

THE PLACE OF PRAYER IS WHERE YOU PRESS AND CONTEND FOR THE GLORY

Psa 34:1 I will bless the Lord at all times; His praise shall continually be in my mouth. 2 My soul shall make its boast in the Lord; The humble shall hear it and rejoice. 3 O magnify the Lord with me, and let us exalt his name together.
4 I sought the Lord, and he answered me, and delivered me from all my fears. 5 They looked to him and were radiant, and their faces shall never be ashamed.

YNG PSA. 34:5 They looked expectingly unto him, and they became bright, and their faces are not ashamed.

3. FAITH

YOU SHOULD BE PRAYING, SAYING AND BELIEVING

Heb 11:1 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.

FAITH IS MANIFESTED IN EXPECTATION

THERE IS POWER IN EXPECTATION

4. REVERENCE

Psa 89:7 God is greatly to be feared in the assembly of the saints, and to be had in reverence of all them that are about him.

Heb 12:28 Wherefore we receiving a kingdom which cannot be moved, let us have grace, whereby we may serve god acceptably with reverence and godly fear:

MESS Heb 12:28 Do you see how thankful we must be? not only thankful, but brimming with worship, deeply reverent before god.

5. OBEDIENCE

ANOTHER WORD FOR OBEDIENCE IS YEILDING!

Rom 6:13 Yield yourselves unto god, as those that are alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness unto god.

19 Now yield your members servants to righteousness unto holiness.

ONE ACT OF OBEDIENCE DOES NOT ADD UP TO A WALK OF OBEDIENCE.

OBEDIENCE WILL COST YOU SOMETHING…

AMP Psa 27:4 One thing have I asked of the Lord, that will i seek, inquire for, and [insistently] require: That i may dwell in the house of the Lord [in his presence] all the days of my life, to behold and gaze upon the beauty [the sweet attractiveness and the delightful loveliness] of the Lord and to meditate, consider, and inquire in his temple.† 5 For in the day of trouble he will hide me in his shelter; In the secret place of his tent will he hide me; He will set me high upon a rock. 6 And now shall my head be lifted up above my enemies round about me; In his tent I will offer sacrifices and shouting of joy; I will sing, yes, I will sing praises to the Lord. 7 Hear, O Lord, when i cry aloud; Have mercy and be gracious to me and answer me! 8 You have said, seek my face [inquire for and require my presence as your vital need]. My heart says to you, your face (your presence), Lord, will i seek, inquire for, and require [of necessity and on the authority of your word].
