Law of Freedom
Gal 6:2 Bear one another’s burdens, and thereby fulfill the law of Christ.
Rom 8:3 For what the Law could not do, weak as it was through the flesh, God did: sending His own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh and as an offering for sin, He condemned sin in the flesh, 4 so that the (righteous) requirement of the Law might be fulfilled in us, who do not walk according to the flesh but according to the Spirit.
Rev 19:8 It was given to her to clothe herself in fine linen, bright and clean; for the fine linen is the righteous acts of the saints.
THE REQUIREMENT THAT IS TO BE FULFILLED IN US THAT PAUL IS TALKING ABOUT IS LOVE!
Matt 22:35 One of them, a lawyer, asked Him a question, testing Him, 36 “Teacher, which is the great commandment in the Law?” 37 And He said to him, “ ‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind.’ 38 This is the great and foremost commandment. 39 The second is like it, ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ 40 On these two commandments depend the whole Law and the Prophets.”
THE ONE THING THAT GOD HAS ALWAYS REQUIRED FIRST AND FOREMOST IS LOVE.
Gal 5:22,25 The fruit of the Spirit is love… living and walking by the Spirit
2 John 5 “Not writing a new commandment, but one from the beginning.
1 Tim 1:5 But the goal of our instruction is love from a pure heart and a good conscience and a sincere faith.
6 For some men, straying from these things, have turned aside to fruitless discussion (IDDLE TALK)
John 13:35 By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another.
Rom 13:8 Owe nothing to anyone except to love one another; for he who loves his neighbor has fulfilled the law. 9 For this, “You shall not commit adultery, You shall not murder, You shall not steal, You shall not covet,” and if there is any other commandment, it is summed up in this saying, “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.”
10 Love does no wrong to a neighbor; therefore love is the fulfillment of the law.
Gal 5:13 For you were called to freedom, brethren; only do not turn your freedom into an opportunity for the flesh, but through love serve one another.
14 For the whole Law is fulfilled in one word, in the statement, “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.”
15 But if you bite and devour one another, take care that you are not consumed by one another.
Gal 5:6 For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision means anything, but faith working through love.
FAITH WITHOUT LOVE ACCOMPLISHES NOTHING
Rom 5:5 the love of God has been poured out within our hearts through the Holy Spirit who was given to us.
THE MOMENT WE GET INTO WORKS AND NOT FAITH THE FOUNTAIN IS SHUT OFF AND WE ARE LEFT TO THE CARNAL NATURE WHICH IS NEVER ENOUGH
LOVE IS THE PRIMARY EMPHASIS OF THE NEW TESTAMENT
IT IS THE CENTER OF TRUE CHRISTIANITY
IT IS THE KEY THAT CAUSES EVERY OTHER SPIRITUAL PRINCIPLE TO WORK IN OUR LIVES.
Col 3:14 Beyond all these things put on love, which is the perfect bond of unity.
Jude 20 But you, beloved, building yourselves up on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Spirit, 21keep yourselves in the love of God
