24-7 FAITH

Doubt despairs complains and is sad, but faith rejoices, gives thanks and is glad.

Oh, clap your hands, all you peoples! Shout to God with the voice of triumph! Psalm 47:1.

NLT shout to God with Joyful praise!

Consider it all joy, my brethren, when you encounter various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces endurance.  James 1:2-3

In this you greatly rejoice, even though now for a little while, if necessary, you have been distressed by various trials, so that the proof of your faith, being more precious than gold which is perishable, even though tested by fire, may be found to result in praise and glory and honor at the revelation of Jesus Christ; and though you have not seen Him, you love Him, and though you do not see Him now, but believe in Him, you greatly rejoice with joy inexpressible and full of glory, obtaining as the outcome of your faith the salvation of your souls (1 Peter 1:6-9)

At destruction and famine you shall laugh (Job 5:22).

The sound of joyful shouting and salvation is in the tents of the righteous; Psalm 118:15

Shouts of joy and victory resound in the tents of the righteous: “The Lord’s right hand has done mighty things! NIV

My loud shouts of victory will echo throughout the land. TPT

Hear the shouts, hear the triumph songs in the camp of the saved? “The hand of God has turned the tide! MSG

Joshua (Ch 6) Faith for possession started with a shout!

Many people would be giants in the power of God but they have no shout of faith.  Smith Wigglesworth

No man can doubt if he learns to shout. Smith Wigglesworth

Shout to testify of your faith in Gods promise.

Shout in thankfulness for His glorious mercy.

Shout to encourage yourselves and your brethren.

Shout to strike terror into your enemies.

John Wesly

And by the way, when I see the people the Lord God is with them and the shout of a king is among them. (Numbers 23:21)

vs 19 God is not a man, that He should lie, Nor a son of man, that He should repent; Has He said, and will He not do it? Or has He spoken, and will He not make it good?

I see the people rising up like a lioness and like a lion it lifts itself (24).

Jesus is the lion of the tribe of Judah and He will descend from heaven with a shout.

(1 Thessalonians 4:16)

Churches that lose their shout lose their ability to influence and affect their generation.  There needs to be a corporate shout!

Let the redeemed of the Lord say so, Whom He has redeemed from the hand of the adversary (Psalm 107:2).

We shout because we have already won.

No matter what comes your way.  Never doubt, just learn to shout!

Overcoming Fear Pt 3

“Don’t let it in”

2 Cor 4:13 But having the same spirit of faith, according to what is written, “I believed, therefore I spoke,” we also believe, therefore we also speak,

2 Tim 1:7 For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.

Num 14:24 But My servant Caleb, because he has had a different spirit and has followed Me fully, I will bring into the land which he entered, and his descendants shall take possession of it.

Heb 2:14 Therefore, since the children share in flesh and blood, He Himself likewise also partook of the same, that through death He might render powerless (Destroy) him who had the power of death, that is, the devil, 15 and might free those who through fear of death were subject to slavery (bondage) all their lives.

2 Cor 7:5 For even when we came into Macedonia our flesh had no rest, but we were afflicted on every side: conflicts without, fears within.

2 Cor 11:28 “Apart from such external things, there is the daily pressure on me of concern for all the churches.”

John 14:1 Do not let your heart be troubled; believe in God, believe also in Me.

26 But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all that I said to you.

27 Peace I leave with you; My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Do not let your heart be troubled, nor let it be fearful.

Isaiah 41:10 Do not fear, for I am with you; Do not anxiously look about you, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, surely I will help you, Surely I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.’

24-7 FAITH

“There is only one way to all the treasures of God, and that is the way of faith.”

Smith Wigglesworth

Faith is your tool for accessing all that God has provided

2 Corinthians 1:20 For as many as are the promises of God, in Him they are yes; therefore also through Him is our Amen to the glory of God through us.

You will never move forward in life until you get the amen on the inside of you.

All things are possible to him who believes (Mark 9:23).

For we are God’s [own] handiwork (His workmanship), recreated in Christ Jesus, [born anew] that we may do those good works which God predestined (planned beforehand) for us [taking paths which He prepared ahead of time], that we should walk in them [living the good life which He prearranged and made ready for us to live] (Ephesians 2:10*).

by faith men of old gained approval (Heb.11:2). By faith Abel offered to God a better sacrifice than Cain (4).

By faith Enoch was taken up so that he would not see death (5). By faith Noah, being warned by God about things not yet seen, in reverence prepared an ark for the salvation of his household (7). By faith Abraham, when he was called, obeyed by going out to a place which he was to receive for an inheritance (8).

God’s plan for your life will require accessing everything you need to fulfill that plan.

God has provided everything we need pertaining to life and Godliness (2 Peter 1:3).

And now I commend you to God and to the word of His grace, which is able to build you up and to give you the inheritance among all those who are sanctified  Acts 20:32.

Your inheritance includes “all the promises”, or the “all things” pertaining to life and godliness. God has not left anything out that is good.

Faith is our “Amen” and becomes the instrument you need to obtain your inheritance.

For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God (Ephesians 2:8).

but be imitators of those who through faith and patience inherit the promises (Hebrews 6:12).

through the instrumentation of faith and patience we receive the promises.

Romans 4:16 For this reason it is by faith, in order that it may be in accordance with grace, so that the promise will be guaranteed to all the descendants, not only to those who are of the Law, but also to those who are of the faith of Abraham, who is the father of us all,

Romans 5:1 Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, 2 through whom also we have access by faithinto this grace in which we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.

Therefore, let us fear if, while a promise remains of entering His rest, any one of you may seem to have come short of it. For indeed we have had good news preached to us, just as they also; but the word they heard did not profit them, because it was not united by faith in those who heard. For we who have believed enter that rest… Hebrews 4:1-3

NIV 2 Corinthians 1:20 For no matter how many promises God has made, they are “Yes” in Christ. And so through him the “Amen” is spoken by us to the glory of God.

24-7 FAITH Pt 6

Understanding how faith works is the most important thing.

We must become proficient in the use of that which should be normal for the believer.

Bracken Christian

1 Peter 5:8 Be of sober spirit, be on the alert. Your adversary, the devil, prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour. But resist him, firm in your faith, knowing that the same experiences of suffering are being accomplished by your brethren who are in the world.

James uses the same terminology concerning our adversary, Submit therefore to God.  Resist the devil and he will flee from you (James 4:7).

Be on the alert, stand firm in the faith, act like men, be strong. 1 Corinthians 16:13.

in your faith you are standing firm (2 Corinthians 1:24).

“Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of His might. Put on the full armor of God, so that you will be able to stand firm against the schemes of the devil.  For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the powers, against the world forces of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places. Therefore, take up the full armor of God, so that you will be able to resist in the evil day, and having done everything, to stand firm. Stand firm therefore…” (Ephesians 6:10-14).

In addition to all, taking up the shield of faith with which you will be able to extinguish all the flaming missiles of the evil one (Ephesians 6:16).

In every battle, take faith as your wrap-around shield, for it is able to extinguish the blazing arrows coming at you from the Evil One! TPT

The majority of those flaming missiles are going to be thoughts that he sends your way in the middle of circumstances, trials, difficulties of life that come your way.  He is a liar and the father of lies and is always trying to create doubt, fear and confusion in our lives.

The word “Schemes” means that the devil has one main method of operation. He is after your mind and is a master at “mind games”.

2 Corinthians 2:11 that no advantage would be taken of us by Satan, for we are not ignorant of his schemes.

2 Corinthians 10:3-5 For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh, for the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh, but divinely powerful for the destruction of fortresses. We are destroying speculations and every lofty thing raised up against the knowledge of God, and we are taking every thought captive to the obedience of Christ,

The first key to resistance is knowing what the Word says

Our faith is the shield.

In order for us to win our shields must be developed!

when a missile of the enemy is fired at us we respond with the Word of God.

The two best applications; Jesus and Joshua.

Matthew 4, Jesus is in the wilderness of temptation

Jesus gives us the proper illustration of how to resist, stand, lift up the shield of faith and then use the sword of the spirit with, “It is written”.

God instructed Joshua 3 different times to, “Be strong and of good courage”.

This book of the law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do according to all that is written in it; for then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have success (Joshua 1:8).

Meditation is not a mental exercise.  To meditate means to mutter.

When the word gets in us our shield begins to develop.

The good man out of the good treasure of his heart brings forth what is good; and the evil man out of the evil treasure brings forth what is evil; for his mouth speaks from that which fills his heart (Luke 6:45).

A heart full of the word is going to be a heart full of faith!

A heart full of faith means, we have a good shield to defend us.

If your faith shield is strong you will have a good smile on your face because you are expecting full victory!

We cannot advance if we are in quit mode.

Verily I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever ye shall loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven (Matthew 18:18).

Faith is not just something we have but it is to be used!

Your sword will only be as good as your shield.

Overcoming Fear Pt 2

“Yielding to Fear or Faith”

Mark 4:38 Jesus Himself was in the stern, asleep on the cushion

40 But He said to them, “Why are you so fearful? How is it that you have no faith?”

Psalm 62:1 Truly my soul silently waits for God; From Him comes my salvation. He only is my rock and my salvation; He is my defense; I shall not be greatly moved.

2 Cor 4:13 And since we have the same spirit of faith, according to what is written, “I believed and therefore I spoke,” we also believe and therefore speak,

5:7 For we walk by faith, not by sight.

2 Tim 1:7 For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.

Numbers 14:24 But My servant Caleb, because he has had a different spirit and has followed Me fully, I will bring into the land which he entered, and his descendants shall take possession of it.

Numbers 14:7 and they spoke to all the congregation of the children of Israel, saying: “The land we passed through to spy out is an exceedingly good land. 8 If the Lord delights in us, then He will bring us into this land and give it to us, a land which flows with milk and honey.’ 9 Only do not rebel against the Lord, nor fear the people of the land, for they are our bread; their protection has departed from them, and the Lord is with us. Do not fear them.”

24 But My servant Caleb, because he has had a different spirit and has followed Me fully, I will bring into the land which he entered, and his descendants shall take possession of it.

24-7 FAITH

God has tied himself irrevocably to human cooperation in the execution of divine purpose. He has made man’s faith a determining factor in the work of redemption.

To be an overcomer in this life will require walking by faith

Overcoming in life will require the attitude of faith.

For whatsoever is born of God overcomes the world: and this is the victory that overcomes the world even our faith (1 John 5:4).

We must live with the consciousness that we are a victor in Christ.

We have been born into the family of overcomers!

verse 5 Who is he that overcomes the world, but he that believes that Jesus is the son of God?

Victories are won in battle and Jesus has defeated the enemy!

KJV Col 2:9 For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily. 10 and ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power: 11 in whom also ye are circumcised with the circumcision made without hands, in putting off the body of the sins of the flesh by the circumcision of Christ: 12 buried with him in baptism, wherein also ye are risen with him through the faith of the operation of God, who hath raised him from the dead.13 And you, being dead in your sins and the uncircumcision of your flesh, hath he quickened together with him, having forgiven you all trespasses; 14 Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross; 15 and having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a shew of them openly, triumphing over them in it.

His victory is our victory!

Act like a winner!

Victory is an attitude, a confindence that we walk in because it’s already ours

1 John 4:4 You are from God, little children, and have overcome them; because greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world.

We fight all our battles from a place of victory seated far above the enemy.

John 16:33 These things I have spoken to you, so that in Me you may have peace. In the world you have tribulation, but take courage; I have overcome the world.”

For we walk by faith and not by sight (2 Corinthians 5:7).

Victory is possessed with knowledge and gratitude.

2 Corinthians 2:14 But thanks be to God, Who in Christ always leads us in triumph [as trophies of Christ’s victory] and through us spreads and makes evident the fragrance of the knowledge of God everywhere.

If we always triumph, that means we never fail!

it is God that causes us to triumph!

1 Corinthians 15:54 “even death is swallowed up in victory”

57 but thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.

The Greek word “Nikos” triumph means: Victory; A conquest

The Greek word “Nikao” and “Nike” Victory means; to subdue, conquer, overcome, prevail, the means of success.

Romans 8:31 If God be for us, who can be against us? 32 He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things? 33 Who shall lay anything to the charge of God’s elect? It is God that justifieth.

37 But in all these things we overwhelmingly conquer through Him who loved us

To conquer means: to triumph, to overcome, to win, to succeed, or to be victorious

Revelation 12:11 And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death

24-7 FAITH

A blind man’s world is bound by the limits of his touch, an ignorant man’s world by the limits of his knowledge, a great man’s world by the limits of his vision.

Paul Harvey

The connection between faith and vision

Habakkuk 2:1 I will stand on my guard post And station myself on the rampart; And I will keep watch to see what He will speak to me, And how I may reply when I am reproved. 2 Then the Lord answered me and said, “Record the visionAnd inscribe it on tablets, That the one who reads it may run. 3 “For the vision is yet for the appointed time; It hastens toward the goal and it will not fail. Though it tarries, wait for it; For it will certainly come, it will not delay.

4 “Behold, as for the proud one, His soul is not right within him; But the righteous will live by his faith.

And He took him outside and said, “Now look toward the heavens, and count the stars, if you are able to count them.” And He said to him, “So shall your descendants be.” Then he believed in the Lord; and He reckoned it to him as righteousness.  Genesis 15:5-6

Genesis 13:16 “your descendants will be as the dust of the earth”.

While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen; for the things which are seen are temporal, but the things which are not seen are eternal.   2 Cor 4:18

There are two kinds of vision.  Natural vision and spiritual vision

Webster’s Dictionary describes vision as; not only the act of seeing but also the ability to see.

When it comes to spiritual vision we have all been given the ability to see.  That is faiths opportunity.

for we walk by faith not by sight. 2 Cor 5:7

To walk by faith would mean to walk by spiritual vision.

A major factor of our level of victory in life has to do with what we are looking at, what we see, what we set our focus on.

By faith he forsook Egypt, not fearing the wrath of the king: for he endured, as seeing him who is invisible Hebrews 11:27

If you do not have some type of vision, a mental image of a spiritual picture, a concept formed by the word of God illuminated in your heart you won’t be able to endure

You have spiritual eyes.

I have heard of You by the hearing of the ear; But now my eye sees You;

Job 42:5

Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.  Hebrews 11:1

Proverbs 29:18 “without a vision (spiritual sight) people perish”.

Faith is accompanied with spiritual sight.

When it comes to faith you need to see it.

The soul never thinks without a picture.
