Faith And Confession Series 1

-Pastor Joey Hamlin-

Releasing Spiritual Authority

Hebrews 4:14 Seeing then that we have a great high priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession.

The Message Bible says, Let’s not let it slip through our fingers.

Proverbs 12:13 KJV

(13)  The wicked is snared by the transgression of his lips (to speak contrary to the Word): but the just shall come out of trouble.

Your confession will either imprison you or set you free.

Deuteronomy 30:19 KJV

(19)  I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live:

1) Proverbs 18:21 Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.

(GNB) What you say can preserve life or destroy it; so you must accept the consequences of your words.

2) James 3:10 Out of the same mouth proceedeth blessing and cursing.

Mark 11:22-24 KJV (22)  And Jesus answering saith unto them, Have faith in God. (23)  For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith.

Romans 8:28, 31-37 (KJV) And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.

31 What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us? 32 He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things? 33 Who shall lay any thing to the charge of God’s elect? It is (is it) God that justifieth (AMP- acquits us?).

34 Who is he that condemneth? It is (is it) Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us.

(AMPC) 34 Who is there to condemn [us]? Will Christ Jesus (the Messiah), Who died, or rather Who was raised from the dead, Who is at the right hand of God actually pleading as He intercedes for us?

35 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? 36 As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.

37 Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.

Areas where we can exercise our spiritual authority

1. Use Your Authority for Protection

2. Use Your Authority to Drive Out Sickness

“No evil will conquer you; no plague will come near your home.” –Psalm 91:10

3. Use Your Authority to Cast Out Demons

“They will cast out demons in my name.” –Mark 16:17

4. Use Your Authority to calm a storm

“Then He arose and rebuked the wind, and said to the sea, ‘Peace, be still!’ And the wind ceased and there was a great calm.” –Mark 4:39 (NKJV)

5. Use Your Authority for Finances

“He disarmed the spiritual rulers and authorities. He shamed them publicly by his victory over them on the cross.” –Colossians 2:15

THE RAPTURE/FACT CHECK

Rom 11:25 for I do not want you, brethren, to be uninformed of this mystery, lest you be wise in your own estimation, that a partial hardening has happened to Israel until the fulness of the gentiles has come in; 26 and thus all Israel will be saved; just as it is written, “the deliverer will come from Zion, he will remove ungodliness from Jacob.” 27 “and this is my covenant with them, when I take away their sins.”

GOD IS NOT THROUGH WITH THE JEWISH NATION.

THE FIRST STEP OF THE RESTORATION IS PHYSICAL.  THEY COME BACK INTO THE LAND AND OCUPY.

THE LAST THING THAT HAPPENS IS THAT THERE IS A SPIRITUAL TURNING TO CHRIST.

ANOTHER MYSTERY PAUL TALKS ABOUT EPHESIANS 5

Eph 5:31 For this cause a man shall leave his father and mother, and shall cleave to his wife; and the two shall become one flesh. 32 This mystery is great; but I am speaking with reference to Christ and the church.

1 Cor 15:51 “BEHOLD, I TELL YOU A MYSTERY”

IF YOU GET THE DETAILS OF THE RAPTURE, MIXED IN WITH THE 2ND COMING OF JESUS, THERE’S GOING TO BE SOME CONFUSION

(GAL 1:1 THE RAPTURE OF THE CHURCH IS SOMETHING THAT PAUL GOT BY REVELATION 2, 2:2)

1 Cor 15:51 Behold, I tell you a mystery; we shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, 52 In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet; for the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised imperishable, and we shall be changed.

53 For this perishable must put on the imperishable, and this mortal must put on immortality. 54 But when this perishable will have put on the imperishable, and this mortal will have put on immortality, then will come about the saying that is written, “death is swallowed up in victory. 55 “O death, where is your victory? O death, where is your sting?” 56 The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law; 57But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. 58 Therefore, my beloved brethren, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your toil is not in vain in the lord.

THERE ARE PICTURES OF IT HAPPENING IN THE OLD TESTAMENT

A MAN BY THE NAME OF ENOCH – HE WALKED WITH GOD BY FAITH AND GOD TOOK HIM

ELIJAH THE PROPHET… HE WENT TO HEAVEN IN A CHARIOT

1 Thess 4:13 But we do not want you to be uninformed, brethren, about those who are asleep (dead in Christ), that you may not grieve, as do the rest who have no hope. 14 For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so god will bring with him those who have fallen asleep in Jesus. 15 For this we say to you by the word of the Lord, that we who are alive, and remain until the coming of the Lord, shall not precede those who have fallen asleep. 16 for the Lord himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trumpet of God; and the dead in Christ shall rise first. 17 Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the lord in the air, and thus we shall always be with the lord. 18 Therefore comfort one another with these words.

1 Thess 5:1 Now as to the times and the epochs, brethren, you have no need of anything to be written to you. 2 For you yourselves know full well that the day of the Lord will come just like a thief in the night.

2 For you yourselves know full well that the day of the Lord will come just like a thief in the night. 3 while they are saying, “peace and safety!” Then destruction will come upon them suddenly like birth pangs upon a woman with child; And they shall not escape.

4 but you, brethren, are not in darkness, that the day should overtake you like a thief; 5 For you are all sons of light and sons of day. We are not of night nor of darkness; 6 So then let us not sleep as others do, but let us be alert and sober. 7 For those who sleep do their sleeping at night, and those who get drunk get drunk at night. 8 But since we are of the day, let us be sober, having put on the breastplate of faith and love, and as a helmet, the hope of salvation. 9 for God has not destined us for wrath, but for obtaining salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ

WHEN THE DAY OF THE LORD COMES ON PLANET EARTH IT IS A DAY OF WRATH ON HIS ENEMIES

Ex. WHEN JESUS TALKED ABOUT HIS COMING HE COMPARED IT TO THE FLOOD AND OF THE DESTRUCTION OF SODOM AND GOMORAH

IN BOTH INSTANCES THERE WERE RIGHTEOUS PEOPLE WHO DID NOT HAVE TO GO THROUGH THAT JUDGMENT.  THEY HAD A WAY OF ESCAPE

2 Thess 2:1 Now we request you, brethren, with regard to the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and our gathering together to him,

2 that you may not be quickly shaken from your composure or be disturbed either by a spirit or a message or a letter as if from us, to the effect that the day of the Lord has come. 3 let no one in any way deceive you, for it will not come unless the apostasy comes first, And the man of lawlessness is revealed, the son of destruction,

4 who opposes and exalts himself above every so-called god or object of worship, so that he takes his seat in the temple of God, displaying himself as being God. 5 Do you not remember that while I was still with you, I was telling you these things? 6 And you know what restrains him now, so that in his time he may be revealed.

7 For the mystery of lawlessness is already at work; Only he who now restrains will do so until he is taken out of the way. 8 And then that lawless one will be revealed whom the Lord will slay with the breath of his mouth and bring to an end by the appearance of his coming; 9 that is, the one whose coming is in accord with the activity of satan, with all power and signs and false wonders, 10 and with all the deception of wickedness for those who perish, because they did not receive the love of the truth so as to be saved.

11 and for this reason God will send upon them a deluding influence so that they might believe what is false, 12 in order that they all may be judged who did not believe the truth, but took pleasure in wickedness.

13 But we should always give thanks to God for you, brethren beloved by the Lord, because God has chosen you from the beginning for salvation through sanctification by the spirit and faith in the truth. 14and it was for this he called you through our gospel, that you may gain the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ.

AMP Luke 21:34 But take heed to yourselves and be on your guard, lest your hearts be overburdened and depressed (weighed down) with the giddiness and headache and nausea of self-indulgence, drunkenness, and worldly worries and cares pertaining to [the business of] this life, and [lest] that day come upon you suddenly like a trap or a noose; 35 for it will come upon all who live upon the face of the entire earth. 36 keep awake then and watch at all times [be discreet, attentive, and ready], praying that you may have the full strength and ability and be accounted worthy to escape all these things [taken together] that will take place, and to stand in the presence of the son of man.

WHY WOULD THE LORD TELL US TO PREPARE FOR OUR ESCAPE IF IT’S NOT GOING TO HAPPEN?   PRAY, STAY ALERT, BE READY!

NAS Rev 3:10 ‘Because you have kept the word of my perseverance, I also will keep you from the hour of testing, that hour which is about to come upon the whole world, to test those who dwell upon the earth.

Rev 3:11 ‘I am coming quickly; hold fast what you have, in order that no one take your crown.

1 John 2:28 And now, little children, abide in him, so that when he appears, we may have confidence and not shrink away from him in shame at his coming. 29 If you know that he is righteous, you know that everyone also who practices righteousness is born of him.

2 John 1:8 Watch yourselves, that you might not lose what we have accomplished, but that you may receive a full reward.

THE GOOD LIFE

JOHN 3:16 “For god so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life.

DEFINITION OF LIFE

  1. THE CHARACTERISTIC STATE OR CONDITION OF A LIVING ORGANISIM

   2. A CHARCTERISTIC OF EXISTENCE.

  1. A PLEASENT, EASY, OR LUXURIOUS MANNER OF EXISTENCE

  1. ANIMATION, SPIRIT, OR LIVELINESS; FULL OF LIFE

  1. STRENGTH OR FRESHNESS OF FLAVOR

AMP Eph 2:10  For we are god’s own handiwork, workmanship, recreated in christ jesus, born anew that we may do those good works which god predestined (planned beforehand) for us , taking paths which he prepared ahead of time, that we should walk in them, living the good life which he prearranged and made ready for us to live.

JESUS CAME FOR THE PURPOSE OF RESTORING TO US TRUE LIFE.

JOHN 10:10  ZOE – THE GOD KIND OF LIFE.

THE ZOE OF GOD IS THE NATURE OF GOD.

JESUS CAME TO GIVE US THE NATURE OF GOD.

I John 5:12 SAY’S “HE WHO HAS THE SON HAS LIFE”.

Acts 3:31 SAY’S “JESUS IS THE PRINCE OF LIFE”.

John 11:25 JESUS SAID, “I AM THE RESURECTION AND THE LIFE”

John 14:6 JESUS SAID, “I AM THE WAY, THE TRUTH, AND THE LIFE”

John 1:4 TELLS US THAT IN HIM WAS LIFE AND THE LIFE WAS THE LIGHT OF MEN.

2 Pet 1:2 Grace and peace be multiplied unto you through the knowledge of god, and of jesus our lord, 3 according as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue: 4 whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.

WE MUST LEARN TO NUTURE OUR NATURE AND DEVELOP IN THE LIFE.

ABUNDANTLY “GRK. PARASOS” – SUPERABUNDANT IN QUANTITY AND SUPERIOR IN QUALITY

IF YOU WANT THE QUANTITY AND THE QUALITY OF LIFE THAT GOD DESIGNS YOU HAVE, YOU MUST CHOOSE LIFE.

HIS WORD IS THE VEHICLE THAT CONTAINS WITHIN IT THE SEEDS OF LIFE

John 6:63 “My words are spirit and life”

“JESUS IS CALLED, THE WORD OF GOD” (Rev 19:13)

“HE IS THE WORD OF LIFE” (I John 1:1)

PRINCIPLES ON LIVING THE GOOD LIFE ACCORDING TO THE WORD

1.SEEKING GOD IS A NON-NEGOTIABLE BECAUSE TRUE LIVING CAN ONLY BE DESIGNED BY GOD AND GIVEN BY GOD

MESS Psa 139:13 Oh yes, you shaped me first inside, then out;

you formed me in my mother’s womb. 14 i thank you, high god—you’re breathtaking! body and soul, i am marvelously made! i worship in adoration—what a creation! 15 you know me inside and out, you know every bone in my body; you know exactly how i was made, bit by bit, how i was sculpted from nothing into something. 16 like an open book, you watched me grow from conception to birth; all the stages of my life were spread out before you, the days of my life all prepared before i’d even lived one day.

Duet 30:19 “I set before you life and death, the blessing and the curse. so choose life in order that you may live, you and your descendants, by loving the lord your god, by obeying his voice, and by holding fast to him. for this is your life and length of days.

YOU MUST LEARN TO PURSUE THE ONE WHO IS LIFE.

NLT Prov 8:32 “And so, my children, listen to me, for happy are all who follow my ways. 33 listen to my counsel and be wise. don’t ignore it.

34 “happy are those who listen to me, watching for me daily at my gates, waiting for me outside my home! 35 for whoever finds me finds life and wins approval from the lord.

LIFE’S NOT CHEAP, YOU GOTTA GO AFTER IT.

Ps16:11 “thou will make known to me the path of life; in thy presence is full of joy; in thy right hand there are pleasures forever.

Ps 36:9 “For with thee is the fountain of life, in thy light we see light”

Matthew 7:13-14  “The gate is small and the way is narrow that leads to life and few are those who find it.

THERE’S ALWAYS TWO PATHS, GODS’ WAY OR YOUR WAY.

2 Pet 1:5 Now for this very reason also, applying all diligence, in your faith supply moral excellence, and in your moral excellence, knowledge; 6 and in your knowledge, self-control, and in your self-control, perseverance, and in your perseverance, godliness;

7 and in your godliness, brotherly kindness, and in your brotherly kindness, love. 8 for if these qualities are yours and are increasing, they render you neither useless nor unfruitful in the true knowledge of our lord jesus christ. 9 for he who lacks these qualities is blind or short-sighted, having forgotten his purification from his former sins. 10 therefore, brethren, be all the more diligent to make certain about his calling and choosing you; for as long as you practice these things, you will never stumble; 11 for in this way the entrance into the eternal kingdom of our lord and savior jesus christ will be abundantly supplied to you.

Eph 4:17 This i say therefore, and affirm together with the lord, that you walk no longer just as the gentiles also walk, in the futility of their mind, 18 being darkened in their understanding, excluded from the life of god, because of the ignorance that is in them, because of the hardness of their heart

Prov 3:5   HE’S THE DIRECTOR, THE CONDUCTOR. SEEK HIM.

  1. LONG AND ABUNDANT-LIFE, CAN ONLY BE EXPERIENCED BY A CONTINUAL DIET OF WISDOM FROM THE WORD OF GOD

Prov 3:1 My son, do not forget my teaching, but let your heart keep my commandments; 2 for length of days and years of life, and peace they will add to you.

16 Long life is in her right hand; in her left hand are riches and honor.

18 She is a tree of life to those who take hold of her, and happy are all who hold her fast.

21 My son, let them not depart from your sight; keep sound wisdom and discretion, 22 so they will be lifeto your soul, and adornment to your neck.

Prov 4:10 Hear, my son, and accept my sayings, and the years of your life will be many.

13 Take hold of instruction; do not let go. guard her, for she is your life.

20 My son, give attention to my words; incline your ear to my sayings.

21 do not let them depart from your sight; keep them in the midst of your heart. 22 for they are life to those who find them, and health to all their whole body. 23 watch over your heart with all diligence, for from it flow the springs of life.

Psa 1:1 How blessed is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked, nor stand in the path of sinners, nor sit in the seat of scoffers!

2 but his delight is in the law of the lord, and in his law he meditates day and night. 3 and he will be like a tree firmly planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in its season, and its leaf does not wither; and in whatever he does, he prospers.

STREAMS OF LIFE – THE WATER OF LIFE.

Rev 21:6 SAY’S “I am the alpha and omega the begining and the end. i will give to the one who thirsts from the spring of the water of life without cost.

Rev 22:1 “ And he showed me a river of the water of life, clear as crystal, coming from the throne of god and of the lamb.

Vs 17 “And the spirit and the bride say “come” and the one who hears say, “come” and let the one who is thirsty come; let the one who wishes take the water of life without cost.

3. A TRULY HAPPY AND GOOD LIFE REQUIRES THAT I GUARD MY TONGUE.

Psa 34:12 Who is the man who desires life, and loves length of days that he may see good? 13 keep your tongue from evil, and your lips from speaking deceit.

1 Pet 3:10 For, “let him who means to love life and see good days refrain his tongue from evil and his lips from speaking guile. 11 “and let him turn away from evil and do good; let him seek peace and pursue it. 12 “for the eyes of the lord are upon the righteous, and his ears attend to their prayer, but the face of the lord is against those who do evil.”

Prov 13:3 “The one who guards his mouth preserves his life. the one who opens wide his lips comes to ruin.

Prov 18:21 “Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it will eat it’s fruit.

Prov 15:4 “A Soothing tongue is a tree of life, but perversion in it crushes the spirit.

Prov 10:11 “The mouth of the righteous is a fountain of life”.

The Blessed Life

By Pastor Brody Christian

Matthew 7:1-2 NKJV

“Judge not, that you be not judged. For with what judgment you judge, you will be judged; and with the measure you use, it will be measured back to you.

Luke 6:37 Vs 38 NKJV

37 “Judge not, and you shall not be judged. Condemn not, and you shall not be condemned. Forgive, and you will be forgiven. 38 Give, and it will be given to you: good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over will be put into your bosom. For with the same measure that you use, it will be measured back to you.”

WE ARE THE MOST LIKE GOD, WHEN WE GIVE

Matt. 6:2121 For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.

GOD’S PLAN IS FOR YOU TO LIVE A BLESSED LIFE!

TO LIVE THE BLESSED LIFE…WE HAVE TO DEVELOP OUR HEART!

  1. YOU CAN NOT HAVE A SELFISH HEART

DEUTERONOMY 15:7-8

“If there is among you a poor man of your brethren, within any of the gates in your land which the Lord your God is giving you, you shall not harden your heart nor shut your hand from your poor brother, but you shall open your hand wide to him and willingly lend him sufficient for his need, whatever he needs.

LUKE 12:15-21

15 And He said to them, “Take heed and beware of covetousness, for one’s life does not consist in the abundance of the things he possesses.”

Msg- protect yourself from the least bit of greed. Life is not defined by what you have, even when you have a lot

16 Then He spoke a parable to them, saying: “The ground of a certain rich man yielded plentifully. 17 And he thought within himself, saying, ‘What shall I do, since I have no room to store my crops?’ 18 So he said, ‘I will do this: I will pull down my barns and build greater, and there I will store all my crops and my goods. 19 And I will say to my soul, “Soul, you have many goods laid up for many years; take your ease; eat, drink, and be merry.” ’ 20 But God said to him, ‘Fool! This night your soul will be required of you; then whose will those things be which you have provided?’

21 “So is he who lays up treasure for himself, and is not rich toward God.”

  1. YOU HAVE TO DEAL WITH A GRIEVING HEART

DEUTERONOMY 15:10

10 You shall surely give to him, and your heart should not be grieved when you give to him, because for this thing the Lord your God will bless you in all your works and in all to which you put your hand.

SELFISHNESS ATTACKS US BEFORE WE GIVE…BUT GRIEFE ATTACKS US AFTER WE GIVE

  1. YOU HAVE TO DEVELOP A GENEROUS HEART

DEUTERONOMY 15:14

14 you shall supply him liberally from your flock, from your threshing floor, and from your winepress. From what the Lord your God has blessed you with, you shall give to him.

  1. YOU HAVE TO DEVELOP A GRATEFUL HEART

DEUTERONOMY 15:15

15 You shall remember that you were a slave in the land of Egypt, and the Lord your God redeemed you; therefore I command you this thing today.

YOU HAVE TO REMEMBER WHERE YOU USED TO BE

Unquestioning Faith

Mark 9:23 And Jesus said to him, “ ‘If You can?’ All things are possible to him who believes.”

Matt 7:7 Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. 8 For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened.

THE 1ST STEP TO RECEIVING ANYTHING FROM GOD IS LOCATING HIS WILL.

STEP #2 ASK… IN FAITH

STEP #3 SEEK…

STEP #4 KNOCK…

9 Or what man is there among you who, when his son asks for a loaf, will give him a stone? 10 Or if he asks for a fish, he will not give him a snake, will he? 11 If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give what is good to those who ask Him!

24 Therefore everyone who hears these words of Mine and acts on them, may be compared to a wise man who built his house on the rock. 25 And the rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and slammed against that house; and yet it did not fall, for it had been founded on the rock. 26 Everyone who hears these words of Mine and does not act on them, will be like a foolish man who built his house on the sand. 27 The rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and slammed against that house; and it fell—and great was its fall.”

James 1:22 But prove yourselves doers of the word, and not merely hearers who delude themselves.

DECEPTION IS ONE OF THE MAIN WEAPONS OF THE ENEMY

23 For if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like a man who looks at his natural face in a mirror; 24 for once he has looked at himself and gone away, he has immediately forgotten what kind of person he was.

THIS IS ABOUT US SEEING SOMETHING SPIRITUAL AND WE JUST DON’T REALLY DO ANYTHING WITH IT.

25 But one who looks intently at the perfect law, the law of liberty, and abides by it, not having become a forgetful hearer but an effectual doer, this man will be blessed in what he does.

Rom 4:12 walk in steps of Abraham

Romans 16:26 REFERS TO “THE OBEDIENCE OF FAITH”

OBEYING GOD REQUIRES FAITH.

Heb 11:8 By faith Abraham, when he was called, obeyed by going out to a place which he was to receive for an inheritance; and he went out, not knowing where he was going.

GOD LEADS IN STEPS AND THE STEPS REQUIRE FAITH.

WITH GOD YOU MUST HAVE AN UNQUESTIONING FAITH

Matt 7:24 “Therefore everyone who hears these words of Mine and acts on them, may be compared to a wise man who built his house on the rock. And the rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and slammed against that house; and yet it did not fall, for it had been founded on the rock.

26 Everyone who hears these words of Mine and does not act on them, will be like a foolish man who built his house on the sand.

27 The rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and slammed against that house; and it fell—and great was its fall.”

PLANTED LIKE A TREE

Psa 1:2 But his delight is in the law of the LORD, And in His law he meditates day and night. 3 And he will be like a tree firmly planted by streams of water, Which yields its fruit in its season, And its leaf does not wither; And in whatever he does, he prospers.

Jer 17:5 Thus says the LORD, “Cursed is the man who trusts in mankind And makes flesh his strength, And whose heart turns away from the LORD. 6 “For he will be like a bush in the desert And will not see when prosperity comes, But will live in stony wastes in the wilderness, A land of salt without inhabitant. 7“Blessed is the man who trusts in the LORD And whose trust is the LORD. 8 “For he will be like a tree planted by the water, That extends its roots by a stream And will not fear when the heat comes; But its leaves will be green, And it will not be anxious in a year of drought Nor cease to yield fruit.

Psa 92:12 The righteous man will flourish like the palm tree, He will grow like a cedar in Lebanon. 13Planted in the house of the LORD, They will flourish in the courts of our God. 14 They will still yield fruit in old age; They shall be full of sap and very green, 15 To declare that the LORD is upright; He is my rock, and there is no unrighteousness in Him.

3 AREAS TO MAKE SURE YOU ARE POSITIONING PROPERLY; MEDITATION ON THE WORD, TRUSTING IN THE LORD AND BEING PLANTED IN A LOCAL CHURCH

I PETER 5:6 “humble yourself under…”

WE MAKE DECISIONS, CHOICES ON A DAILY BASIS THAT POSITION US OR KEEP US IN POSITION TO WALK IN PROMISES AND FLOURISH.

SIX QUESTIONS THAT WILL DETERMINE WHETHER YOU WILL FLOURISH IN THE DAY’S TO COME.

  1. ARE YOU PLANTED? Ps 1:3 Jeri. 17:8    Ps 92:13*

IF YOU ARE NOT PLANTED, YOU CANNOT GROW.

  1. HOW EASILY CAN YOU BE UPROOTED?

Jer. 17:8 “For he will be like a tree planted by the water, That extends its roots by a stream

I Peter 4:10 “As each one has received a special gift employ it in serving one another as good stewards of the manifold grace of God.

Rom 12:4 For just as we have many members in one body and all the members do not have the same function, 5 so we, who are many, are one body in Christ, and individually members one of another. 6 And since we have gifts that differ according to the grace given to us, let each exercise them accordingly: if prophecy, according to the proportion of his faith; 7 if service, in his serving; or he who teaches, in his teaching; 8 or he who exhorts, in his exhortation; he who gives, with liberality; he who leads, with diligence; he who shows mercy, with cheerfulness. 9 Let love be without hypocrisy. Abhor what is evil; cling to what is good. 10 Be devoted to one another in brotherly love; give preference to one another in honor; 11 not lagging behind in diligence, fervent in spirit, serving the Lord; 12 rejoicing in hope, persevering in tribulation, devoted to prayer, 13 contributing to the needs of the saints, practicing hospitality.

3.CAN YOU TAKE THE HEAT?

Jer. 17:8 “For he will be like a tree planted by the water, That extends its roots by a stream And will not fear when the heat comes

2 Cor 2:14 But thanks be to God, who always leads us in His triumph in Christ, and manifests through us the sweet aroma of the knowledge of Him in every place.

Psa 34:19 Many are the afflictions of the righteous; But the LORD delivers him out of them all.

  1. IS YOUR SPIRITUAL HEALTH A PRIORITY?

Jer. 17:8 “For he will be like a tree planted by the water, That extends its roots by a stream And will not fear when the heat comes; But its leaves will be green

Psa 1:3 its leaf does not wither

Psa 92:14 They will still yield fruit in old age; They shall be full of sap and very green,

NEVER TAKE YOUR SPIRITUAL LIFE FOR GRANTED.

YOU CANNOT SURVIVE AS A SEASONAL CHRISTIAN.

How to Receive Anything Pt 5

Knock Pt 2

Luke 11:9 “So I say to you, ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will beopened to you.

THE 1ST STEP TO RECEIVING ANYTHING FROM GOD IS LOCATING HIS WILL.

STEP #2 ASK… IN FAITH

STEP #3 SEEK…

STEP #4 KNOCK…

Luke 11:9 So I say to you, ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks, receives; and he who seeks, finds; and to him who knocks, it will be opened.

Luke 11 JESUS IS INSTRUCTING HIS DISCIPLES IN PRAYER

5 Then He said to them, “Suppose one of you has a friend, and goes to him at midnight and says to him, ‘Friend, lend me three loaves; 6 for a friend of mine has come to me from a journey, and I have nothing to set before him’; 7 and from inside he answers and says, ‘Do not bother me; the door has already been shut and my children and I are in bed; I cannot get up and give you anything.’

8 I tell you, even though he will not get up and give him anything because he is his friend, yet because of his persistence he will get up and give him as much as he needs.

Knox TRANS… “Because of his shameless asking”

NEB “The very shamelessness of his request”

James 2:17 Even so faith, if it has no works, is dead, being by itself.

18 But someone may well say, “You have faith and I have works (deeds, action) ; show me your faith without the works, and I will show you my faith by my works (by what I do).”

Romans 4:12 and the father of circumcision to those who not only are of the circumcision, but who also follow in the steps of the faith of our father Abraham which he had while uncircumcised.

GOD LEADS IN STEPS…

WHEN GOD TOLD ABRAHAM TO GO, HE WENT OUT NOT KNOWING.

IN JESUS MINISTRY

John 4:50 Jesus *said to him, “Go; your son lives.” The man believed the word that Jesus spoke to him and started off. 51 As he was now going down, his slaves met him, saying that his son was living.

John 5:8 Jesus *said to him, “Get up, pick up your pallet and walk.”

Mark 3:5 After looking around at them with anger, grieved at their hardness of heart, He *said to the man, “Stretch out your hand.” And he stretched it out, and his hand was restored.

HE COULDN’T DO IT BUT HE DID…  SAME FOR US…. TAKE A STEP

JAIRUS DAUGHTER…

Mark 5:41 Taking the child by the hand, He *said to her, “Talitha kum!” (which translated means, “Little girl, I say to you, get up!”).

Acts 3:6 But Peter said, “I do not possess silver and gold, but what I do have I give to you: In the name of Jesus Christ the Nazarene—walk!” 7 And seizing him by the right hand, he raised him up; and immediately his feet and his ankles were strengthened.

Acts 14:5 And when an attempt was made by both the Gentiles and the Jews with their rulers, to mistreat and to stone them, 6 they became aware of it and fled to the cities of Lycaonia, Lystra and Derbe, and the surrounding region; 7 and there they continued to preach the gospel.

8 At Lystra a man was sitting who had no strength in his feet, lame from his mother’s womb, who had never walked. 9 This man was listening to Paul as he spoke, who, when he had fixed his gaze on him and had seen that he had faith to be made well, 10 said with a loud voice, “Stand upright on your feet.” And he leaped up and began to walk.

DEAD FAITH WON’T GET YOUR BILLS PAID OR YOUR BODY HEALED.

NEVER GET FIXATED ON SOMEBODY’S REPORT OF IMPOSSIBLITY.

Defending Your Benefits

Col 2:9 For in Him all the fullness of Deity dwells in bodily form,

10 and in Him you have been made complete, and He is the head over all rule and authority; 11 and in Him you were also circumcised with a circumcision made without hands, in the removal of the body of the flesh by the circumcision of Christ; 12 having been buried with Him in baptism, in which you were also raised up with Him through faith in the working of God, who raised Him from the dead. 13 When you were dead in your transgressions and the uncircumcision of your flesh, He made you alive together with Him, having forgiven us all our transgressions, 14 having canceled out the certificate of debt consisting of decrees against us, which was hostile to us; and He has taken it out of the way, having nailed it to the cross. 15 When He had disarmed the rulers and authorities, He made a public display of them, having triumphed over them through Him.

THE DEVIL WILL TRY TO ENFORCE THOSE DECREES ON YOU.

2 Sam 23:11 Now after him was Shammah the son of Agee a Hararite. And the Philistines were gathered into a troop where there was a plot of ground full of lentils, and the people fled from the Philistines.

12 But he took his stand in the midst of the plot, defended it and struck the Philistines; and the Lord brought about a great victory.

WE MAY NOT HAVE A BEAN PATCH TO DEFEND TODAY BUT WE DO HAVE A SPIRITUAL KINGDOM ALONG WITH BENEFITS TO DEFEND.

TOO MANY CHRISTIANS AREN’T ENJOYING BENEFITS OF KINGDOM.

Luke 12:32 Do not be afraid, little flock, for your Father has chosen gladly to give you the kingdom.

Luke 17:21 For behold, the kingdom of God is in your midst.”

WE ARE HEIRS OF A SPIRITUAL KINGDOM

THE BENEFITS BELONG TO US.  (Ps 103, Ps 68:19)

Amp 1 Cor 2:9 but just as it is written [in Scripture], “Things which the eye has not seen and the ear has not heard, And which have not entered the heart of man, All that God has prepared for those who love Him [who hold Him in affectionate reverence, who obey Him, and who gratefully recognize the benefitsthat He has bestowed].”

THE ENEMY HAS NO RIGHT TO STEAL WHAT BELONGS TO YOU!

THERE IS A FLOW OF THE KINGDOM

Rom 14:17 for the kingdom of God is not eating and drinking, but righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit.

RIGHTEOUSNESS IS A GIFT…

Rom 5:17 For if by the transgression of the one, death reigned through the one, much more those who receive the abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness will reign in life through the One, Jesus Christ.

RIGHTEOUSNESS MAKES YOU CONSCIOUS OF JESUS VICTORY

THE KINGDOM FLOW IS RIGHTEOUSNESS AND YOU ARE TO DEFEND WHO YOU ARE BY DECLARING WHAT JESUS DID FOR YOU.

GOD WANTS TO BRING OUR FUTURE INTO OUR PRESENT BASED ON WHAT JESUS DID FOR US IN THE PAST.

THERE IS A BOLDNESS THAT GOES WITH RIGHTEOUSNESS! (Pro 28:1)

PEACE IS SOME OF THE FRUIT OF YOUR INHERITANCE

John 14:27 Peace I leave with you; My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Do not let your heart be troubled, nor let it be fearful.  (NO REPLICA)

THERE ARE THINGS WE DO TO MAINTAIN AND WALK IN THE PEACE OF GOD

Rom 12:8 If possible, so far as it depends on you, be at peace with all men.

JOY IS THE NATURE OF THE KINGDOM

DON’T YOU LET THE ENEMY STEAL YOUR JOY!

John 15:11 These things I have spoken to you so that My joy may be in you, and that your joy may be made full.

How to Receive Anything Pt 4

“Knock” Pt 1

Luke 11:9 “So I say to you, ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will beopened to you.

THE 1ST STEP TO RECEIVING ANYTHING FROM GOD IS LOCATING HIS WILL.

STEP #2 ASK… IN FAITH

James 4:2 You do not have because you do not ask

Matt 18:19 Again I say to you, that if two of you agree on earth about anything that they may ask, it shall be done for them by My Father who is in heaven.

STEP #3 SEEK… LOOK FOR IT…

BBE Heb 11:6 without faith it’s not possible to be well pleasing to Him, for it’s necessary for anyone who comes to God to have the belief that God is and that He is a rewarder of all those who make a serious search for Him.

STEP #4 KNOCK…

Luke 11:9 So I say to you, ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks, receives; and he who seeks, finds; and to him who knocks, it will be opened.

Luke 11:1 It happened that while Jesus was praying in a certain place, after He had finished, one of His disciples said to Him, “Lord, teach us to pray just as John also taught his disciples.” 2 And He said to them, “When you pray, say: ‘Father, hallowed be Your name. Your kingdom come. 3 ‘Give us each day our daily bread. 4 ‘And forgive us our sins, For we ourselves also forgive everyone who is indebted to us. And lead us not into temptation.’”

JESUS STARTS OUT TALKING ABOUT PRAYER… THEN USES THIS STORY AND ENDS UP WITH ASK…SEEK…KNOCK…

8 I tell you, even though he will not get up and give him anything because he is his friend,

yet because of his persistence he will get up and give him as much as he needs.

THIS WORD IN THE GREEK “PERSISTENCE” MEANS; WITHOUT BASHFULLNESS.

IT’S PROPER TO USE THE WORD BOLDNESS…

Knox TRANS… “Because of his shameless asking”

NEB “The very shamelessness of his request”

KNOCKING IS ACTION.

8 I tell you, even though he will not get up and give him anything because he is his friend, yet because of his persistence he will get up and give him as much as he needs.

9 So I say to you, ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you.
