THE GOOD LIFE PT 6

-HOW TO LIVE IN IT-

John 10:10 The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I came that they may have life, and have it more abundantly.

ABUNDANTLY MEANS;  MORE THAN ENOUGH…

LIFE – ZOE; THE NATURE OF GOD.

MEANS “SUPERABUNDANCE” – IN QUANTITY AND SUPERIOR IN QUALITY.

AMPC “I came that they may have and enjoy life, and have it in abundance (to the full, till itoverflows).

TPT But I have come to give you everything in abundance, more than you expect —life in its fullness until you overflow!

HOW DO WE LIVE THIS OUT?

2 Cor 4:6 For God, who said, “Light shall shine out of darkness,” is the One who has shone in our hearts to give the Light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Christ.

7 But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, so that the surpassing greatness of the power will be of God and not from ourselves;

HE’S TALKING ABOUT WHAT WE HAVE IN OUR BODY!

8 we are afflicted in every way, but not crushed; perplexed, but not despairing; 9 persecuted, but not forsaken; struck down, but not destroyed;

10 always carrying about in the body the dying of Jesus, so that the life of Jesus also may be manifested in our body.

PAUL IS SAYING, EVEN THE LIFE OF JESUS CAN BE MANIFEST IN OUR BODY.

11 For we who live are constantly being delivered over to death for Jesus’ sake, so that the life of Jesusalso may be manifested in our mortal flesh.

Rom 8:9 However, you are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God dwells in you. But if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he does not belong to Him. 10 If Christ is in you, though the body is dead because of sin, yet the spirit is alive because of righteousness.

GOD WANTS US LIVING A LONG, FRUITFUL LIFE…

2 Cor 4:16 We do not lose heart, but though our outer man is decaying, yet our inner man is being renewed day by day.

GOD GAVE US WHAT THE BIBLE CALLS THE EARNEST OF OUR INHERITANCE… THE FIRST FRUITS OF OUR INHERITANCE.

11 But if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ Jesus from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who dwells in you.

HE WILL QUICKEN YOU TO WORK FOR HIM BUT HE WILL ALSO QUICKEN YOU WHEN YOU ARE WEAK OR SICK.

HOW DO WE RECEIVE THIS?

John 4:10 Jesus answered and said to her, “if you knew the gift of God, and who it is who says to you, ‘give me a drink,’ you would have asked him, and he would have given you living water.”

13 Jesus answered and said to her, “everyone who drinks of this water will thirst again; 14 but whoever drinks of the water that I will give him shall never thirst; but the water that I will give him will become in him a well of water springing up to eternal life.”

John 7 Jesus said, “out of your belly would flow rivers of living water.  This spake He of the Spirit.”

EVERY BELIEVER HAS WITHIN THEM A LIMITLESS SUPPLY OF LIFE.

WE NEED TO LEARN TO DRINK LONGER FROM THE FOUNTAIN.

WE DRINK BY OPENING OUR MOUTH AND SPEAKING… BELIEVING, PRAISING, LAUGHING, DECLARING HIS WORD…

IT’S CALLED, SPIRITUAL DRINKING…  BELIEVE YOU RECEIVE!

The Principle of Supply

Eph 4:11 And He gave some as apostles, and some as prophets, and some as evangelists, and some as pastors and teachers, 12 for the equipping of the saints for the work of service, to the building up of the body of Christ; 13 until we all attain to the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a mature man, to the measure of the stature which belongs to the fullness of Christ.

14 As a result, we are no longer to be children, tossed here and there by waves and carried about by every wind of doctrine, by the trickery of men, by craftiness in deceitful scheming; 15 but speaking the truth in love, we are to grow up in all aspects into Him who is the head, even Christ, 16 from whom the whole body, being fitted and held together by what every joint supplies, according to the proper working of each individual part, causes the growth of the body for the building up of itself in love.

YOU HAVE A COMPANY OF BELIEVERS THAT GOD HAS ORDAINED YOU TO BE A PART OF FOR THE PURPOSE OF SUPPLY.  (1 Cor 12:12-18)

THE WORD SUPPLY MEANS; TO AID OR MINISTER NOURISHEMENT, TO FURNISH OR CONTRIBUTE.

THE SUPPLY IS BOTH NATURAL AND SPIRITUAL

Phil 1:19 For I know that this will turn out for my deliverance through your prayer and the supply of the Spirit of Jesus Christ,

“My house shall be called a house of prayer.”  (Mark 11:17)

YOU ONLY EXPERIENCE THE POWER OF GOD TO THE DEGREE YOU ALIGN YOURSELF WITH HIS PURPOSE.

Acts 4:23 “They returned to their own company”

24 And when they heard this, they lifted their voices to God with one accord

31 “The place where they had gathered was shaken and they were all filled”

THE POWER RELEASED IS FAR GREATER THAN ANY POWER WE CAN GENERATE INDIVIDUALLY.

31 “They were filled and spoke the word with boldness”

YOU NEED A COMPANY YOU CAN RETURN TO AFTER A TOUGH DAY OR WEEK IN THE WORLD.

WE TAPP INTO AND MAKE AVAILABLE A SUPPLY OF THE SPIRIT TO OTHERS IN OUR COMPANY THROUGH PRAYER.

PRAYER IS TO GO OUTWARD.

Phil 4:19 And my God will supply all your needs according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus.

Eph 4:16 from whom the whole body, being fitted and held together by what every joint supplies, according to the proper working of each individual part, causes the growth of the body for the building up of itself in love.

IF YOUR TRYING TO DO STUFF OUTSIDE THE FRAMEWORK OF THE CHURCH PEOPLE BECOME OPEN TO DECEPTION.

14 As a result, we are no longer to be children, tossed here and there by waves and carried about by every wind of doctrine, by the trickery of men, by craftiness in deceitful scheming;

THE LOCAL CHURCH IS YOUR SAFEGUARD AGAINST WEIRDNESS

PRAYER IS A FOUNDATIONAL PRINCIPLE.

Watchmen On the Wall

1 Tim 3:1 But realize this, that in the last days difficult times will come. 2 For men will be lovers of self, lovers of money, boastful, arrogant, revilers, disobedient to parents, ungrateful, unholy, 3 unloving, irreconcilable, malicious gossips, without self-control, brutal, haters of good, 4 treacherous, reckless, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, 5 holding to a form of godliness, although they have denied its power; Avoid such men as these.

WHAT CAN WE DO TO BRING OUR NATION BACK TO GOD?

2 Chr 7:14 and My people who are called by My name humble themselves and pray and seek My face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, will forgive their sin and will heal their land.

Eze. 22:30 “And I sought for a man among them who should build up the wall and stand in the breach before me for the land, that I should not destroy it, but I found none.”

What Can We Do To Repair The Spiritual Wall Around Our Nation?

We must come to our spiritual senses.

We have ignored His Word.  We have grieved His Spirit.  We have mocked His Son.

The source of all our drifting away from God is our preoccupation with self and unconcern for our neighbor.

We must turn our hearts away from the distractions and back to the God.

We must start to repair those gaps.

Those gaps are in our relationships with each other:  family gaps, racial gaps, gender gaps, political gaps, generational gaps.

We have to ask God to forgive the gaps between us and reach out the olive branch of repentance, forgiveness, and reconciliation.

We must devote ourselves to returning to God.

When Nehemiah built the wall around Jerusalem, he called everyone to take a section.

Your “section” is your street, your neighborhood, your city, and state in America.

Matt 9:35 Jesus was going through all the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues and proclaiming the gospel of the kingdom, and healing every kind of disease and every kind of sickness.

36 Seeing the people, He felt compassion for them, because they were distressed and dispirited like sheep without a shepherd. 37 Then He said to His disciples, “The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few.

38 Therefore beseech the Lord of the harvest to send out workers into His harvest.”

We can pray and call out to God to visit America again.

Take prayer responsibility for our neck of the woods, our section of the wall.

Isaiah 62:6 On your walls, O Jerusalem, I have appointed watchmen;

All day and all night they will never keep silent.  You who remind the Lord, take no rest for yourselves; And give Him no rest until He establishes And makes Jerusalem a praise in the earth.

·         We must pray together right now.

Press and pray with us the next 37 days until the end of October.  This is a 40 day plan for focused, “gap-filling” prayer.

It’s Time To Serve

10 reasons why you should serve:

  1. I WAS CREATEDFOR SERVICE

  1. I AM SAVED FOR SERVICE

  1. I AM CALLED TO SERVICE

  1. I AM GIFTED FOR SERVICE

  1. I AM COMMANDED TO SERVE OTHERS

  1. MY CHURCH FAMILY NEEDS MY SERVICE

  1. BECAUSE I OWE EVERYTHING TO CHRIST

  1. BECAUSE SERVING MAKES MY LIFE MEANINGFUL

  1. I WILL BE HELD ACCOUNTABLE FOR MY SERVICE

10.I WILL BE REWARDED FOR MY SERVICE IN ETERNITY

                                       IT’S TIME TO SERVE

  1. EVERYBODY DOESN’T NEED TO KNOW YOUR CALLING AND GODS PLAN RIGHT OFF THE BAT

MATT 20:26-28

Whoever wants to be great must become a servant. Whoever wants to be first among you must be your slave. That is what the Son of Man has done: He came to serve, not be served—and then to give away his life in exchange for the many who are held hostage.”

SERVANT LEADERSHIP IS CONTENT BEING HIDDEN

IF RECOGNITION IS YOUR MOTIVATION, YOU WILL NEVER HAVE ENOUGH INSPIRATION

  1. CHOOSE TO SERVE EVEN WHEN YOU DON’T FEEL LIKE IT BECAUSE GOD IS THERE BACKING YOU UP

A SERVANT FUNCTIONS FAITHFULLY, NOT JUST BASED ON THERE FEELINGS AT THE TIME

1 COR. 15:58

58 With all this going for us, my dear, dear friends, stand your ground. And don’t hold back. Throw yourselves into the work of the Master, confident that nothing you do for him is a waste of time or effort.

HEB. 13.5

I WILL NEVER LEAVE YOU NOR FORSAKE YOU

  1. YOUR CALLED BEFORE YOU’RE PLACED IN POSITION

Gal. 1:15

when I was still in my mother’s womb he chose and called me out of sheer generosity!

  1. IN EVERY SEASON THERE IS A TIME TO SERVE

  ATTITUDE REFLECTS LEADERSHIP

  1. WHEN YOU SERVE YOU BECOME AN ANSWER TO A PROBLEM

Genesis 41.14

Pharaoh at once sent for Joseph, they brought him on the run from the jail cell. He cut his hair, out on clean clothes, and came to pharaoh

  1. TRUST THE PROCESS WHEN IT COMES TO SERVING

PROVERBS 3:5-8

Trust God from the bottom of your heart;
don’t try to figure out everything on your own.
Listen for God’s voice in everything you do, everywhere you go;

he’s the one who will keep you on track.
Don’t assume that you know it all.

Run to God! Run from evil!
Your body will glow with health,
your very bones will vibrate with life!

OBSTACLES turn into OPPORTUNITIES

  1. YOU CANT SERVE TO YOUR FULL POTENTIAL UNTIL YOU LEARN TO FORGIVE

Manasseh – God made me forget

1 PETER 4:7-11

7-11 Everything in the world is about to be wrapped up, so take nothing for granted. Stay wide-awake in prayer. Most of all, love each other as if your life depended on it. Love makes up for practically anything. Be quick to give a meal to the hungry, a bed to the homeless—cheerfully. Be generous with the different things God gave you, passing them around so all get in on it: if words, let it be God’s words; if help, let it be God’s hearty help. That way, God’s bright presence will be evident in everything through Jesus, and he’ll get all the credit as the One mighty in everything

  Being Ready

-Pastor John Breshers-

Sanctification

Revelation 19:7

Let us rejoice and exult and give him the glory, for the marriage of the Lamb has come, and his Bride has made herself ready; it was granted (Permitted) her to clothe herself with fine linen, bright and pure”— for the fine linen is the righteous deeds of the saints. And the angel said to me, “Write this: Blessed are those who are invited to the marriage supper of the Lamb.” And he said to me, “These are the true words of God.”

Righteousness is a two fold reality the same as Sanctification.

There is a Position we are given in Righteousness as born again believers and then Relationally there is a Righteousness that every believer must develop into becoming spiritually mature.

Sanctification is very similar.  Positionally every born-again believer has been sanctified by the offering of the body of Jesus Christ.

Both God and the Believer have specific responsibilities in both area’s.

GOD’S – AMP Heb 10:10  And in accordance with this will [of God] we [who believe in the message of salvation] have been sanctified [that is, set apart as holy for God and His purposes] through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ (the Messiah, the Anointed) once for all.

BELIEVERS – AMP Php 2:12  So then, my dear ones, just as you have always obeyed [my instructions with enthusiasm], not only in my presence, but now much more in my absence, continue to work out your salvation [that is, cultivate it, bring it to full effect, actively pursue spiritual maturity] with awe-inspired fear and trembling [using serious caution and critical self-evaluation to avoid anything that might offend God or discredit the name of Christ]. 13  For it is [not your strength, but it is] God who is effectively at work in you, both to will and to work [that is, strengthening, energizing, and creating in you the longing and the ability to fulfill your purpose] for His good pleasure.:14  Do everything without murmuring or questioning [the providence of God], :15  so that you may prove yourselves to be blameless and guileless, innocent and uncontaminated, children of God without blemish in the midst of a [morally] crooked and [spiritually] perverted generation, among whom you are seen as bright lights [beacons shining out clearly] in the world [of darkness],

Sanctification is simply something that is set apart for God’s special use and purpose.

Pastor spoken to us last week about how to live a victorious life as a believer.  It had to do with taking time to be with the Lord.  Behavior of the believer that gives place to spending Time with God, Time in the Word and Prayer.  These are the tools through which the Spirit of God speaks to us, instructs us, leads us, ministers to us…  Washes us from the stains of the World.

AMP – Rev 19:8  She  (Bride of Christ) has been permitted to dress in fine linen, dazzling white and clean–for the fine linen signifies the righteous acts of the saints [the ethical conduct, personal integrity, moral courage, and godly character of believers].

The Bride of Christ is given a choice to adorn herself with fine linen, dazzling white clothing but every day she must make time for the sanctification process to take place.

It has to do with abiding in the vine.

The Holy Spirit does not force the believer into these times of fellowship with him which brings about a work of outward sanctification.

You and I are members that make up the Bride of Christ. It’s our responsibility individually  to Adorn ourselves with fine linen. Our Righteousness comes OUT of His Righteousness. Our Sanctification comes out of His Sanctification.

However Believers must have an outward work taking place in their lives developing both Righteousness and Sanctification.

AMP – Rev 19:8  She  (Bride of Christ) has been permitted to dress in fine linen, dazzling white and clean–for the fine linen signifies the righteous acts of the saints [the ethical conduct, personal integrity, moral courage, and godly character of believers].

  1.  Ethical conduct – moral principles that govern a person’s behavior or the conducting of an activity.

  2. Personal Integrity – the quality of being honest and having strong moral principles; moral uprightness.

  3. Moral Courage – the ability to do something that frightens one based on a principal of what is right and wrong and the goodness or badness of human character

  4. Godly Character – the mental and moral qualities distinctive to an individual….of believers

  • Reading, studying, and being taught the bible – Helps us to better understand who God is, His Love for us & what he has done for us, and how he calls us to live.

  • Praying expresses our faith in the power of God to do what only he can do.

  • Fellowshipping with other believers – helps us to use our faith by loving and bearing with one another.

  • Giving to God – helps us not to put our  trust in the things of this world and shows that we value the work of God.

  • Sharing the gospel with others sharpens us and we experience the joy of doing God’s work .

(Lev 20:7–8). “Consecrate yourselves, therefore, and be holy; for I am the LORD your God. Keep my statutes, and do them; I am the LORD who sanctifies you”

As this verse helps us see, the word sanctification is closely related to holiness.

Sanctification for the Believer, is a progressive work of the God’s Spirit to make a believer more like Jesus Christ.

I Thessalonians 4:3“ A Life Pleasing to God”  “For this is the will of God, your sanctification: that you abstain from sexual immorality”

Here we find a laundry list of Behavorial expectations for the believer to live out.

(Rom 6:19) He commands Christians to “present your members as slaves to righteousness leading to sanctification” .

Because believers have been set free from their slavery to sin, “the fruit you get leads to sanctification and its end, eternal life” (Rom 6:22).

God is the one who does the work of making us more like Christ, and we participate in that work by a life of continually turning away from sin and demonstrating our faith in Christ by obeying God’s commands.

Keep in Step with the Spirit

Gal 5:16  But I say, walk habitually in the [Holy] Spirit [seek Him and be responsive to His guidance], and then you will certainly not carry out the desire of the sinful nature [which responds impulsively without regard for God and His precepts]. The Holy Spirit plays a key role in this process: as we walk in the power of the Spirit we “will not gratify the desires of the flesh”

One being the ten Virgins – 5 were wise and 5 were foolish.

Five had prepared and purchased additional oil for their lamps and five did not.  I believe this is a result of those who were not sensitive to the leading of the Lord in their preparations.  They are classified as being foolish vs being Wise.

Revelation 19:8

And it was given to her that she should array herself in fine linen bright and pure, for the fine linen is the righteous acts of the saints. The bride arrays herself in her garments of beauty, that she may go forth to meet the Bridegroom, may enter in with Him to the marriage ceremony, and may be united to Him for ever in the marriage bond. Her robes are of dazzling whiteness, free from every stain; nor are they an outward show. Her righteousness is more than imputed, and her whole being is penetrated by it. She is in Christ; she is one with Him; His righteousness takes possession of her in such a manner that it becomes her own; it is a part of herself and of her life.

St. John had no fear of saying that the redeemed shall be presented before God in ‘righteous acts’ of their own. He could not think of them except as at once justified and sanctified in Jesus.

Adam Clark Commentary – Revelation 19:8

Arrayed in fine linen – A prediction that the Church should become more pure in her doctrines, more pious in her experience, and more righteous in her conduct, than she had ever been from her formation.

The fine linen here spoken of is not the righteousness of Christ imputed to believers, for it is here called the righteousness of the saints – that which the grace and Spirit of Christ has wrought in them.

Believers have their own Righteousness.  “Two Kinds of Righteousness”  Don’t leave up to God what He has left up to us!!

God’s Spirit in us has but one cleaning agent!!! the Word Of God to work Sanctification in the life of the believers.

The Consummation of the Ages Pt 3

The Judgment Seat of Christ

Heb 9:26 but now once at the consummation (and close) of the ages He has been manifested (appeared) to put away sin by the sacrifice of Himself. 27 And inasmuch as it is appointed for men to die once and after this comes judgment, 28 so Christ also, having been offered once to bear the sins of many, will appear a second time for salvation without reference to sin, to those who eagerly await Him.

Col 3:1 Therefore if you have been raised up with Christ, keep seeking the things above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God.

2 Set your mind on the things above, not on the things that are on earth. 3 For you have died and your life is hidden with Christ in God.

4 When Christ, who is our life, is revealed, then you also will be revealed with Him in glory.

UPDATE ON RECENT THINGS HAPPENING THIS LAST WEEK.

More peace treaties announced with Israel and Bahrain, talks with Qtar taking place

Continual build up around Israel… Turkey, Russia & Iran. (Eze 38)

Russia has 9 bases in Syria.  Iran uses Hezbolla to sneak in their missles to fire at Israel

Turkey has troops in Syria, Lybia, on edge of Iraq, and the northern part of Lebanon.

John 14:1 Do not let your heart be troubled; believe in God, believe also in Me. 2 In My Father’s house are many dwelling places; if it were not so, I would have told you; for I go to prepare a place for you. 3 If I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself, that where I am, there you may be also.

Revelation 19:1 After these things I heard something like a loud voice of a great multitude in heaven, saying, “Hallelujah! Salvation and glory and power belong to our God;

7 Let us rejoice and be glad and give the glory to Him, for the marriage of the Lamb has come and His bride has made herself ready.” 8 It was given to her to clothe herself in fine linen, bright and clean; for the fine linen is the righteous acts of the saints.

9 Then he *said to me, “Write, ‘Blessed are those who are invited to the marriage supper of the Lamb.’”

11 And I saw heaven opened, and behold, a white horse, and He who sat on it is called Faithful and True, and in righteousness He judges and wages war. 12 His eyes are a flame of fire, and on His head are many diadems; and He has a name written on Him which no one knows except Himself. 13 He is clothed with a robe dipped in blood, and His name is called The Word of God. 14 And the armies which are in heaven, clothed in fine linen, white and clean, were following Him on white horses. 15 From His mouth comes a sharp sword, so that with it He may strike down the nations, and He will rule them with a rod of iron; and He treads the wine press of the fierce wrath of God, the Almighty. 16 And on His robe and on His thigh He has a name written, “KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS.”

Rev 20:4 Then I saw thrones, and they sat on them, and judgment was given to them. And I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded because of their testimony of Jesus and because of the word of God, and those who had not worshiped the beast or his image, and had not received the mark on their forehead and on their hand; and they came to life and reigned with Christ for a thousand years.

5 The rest of the dead did not come to life until the thousand years were completed. This is the first resurrection. 6 Blessed and holy is the one who has a part in the first resurrection; over these the second death has no power, but they will be priests of God and of Christ and will reign with Him for a thousand years.

11 Then I saw a great white throne and Him who sat upon it, from whose presence earth and heaven fled away, and no place was found for them. 12 And I saw the dead, the great and the small, standing before the throne, and books were opened; and another book was opened, which is the book of life; and the dead were judged from the things which were written in the books, according to their deeds. 13 And the sea gave up the dead which were in it, and death and Hades gave up the dead which were in them; and they were judged, every one of them according to their deeds. 14 Then death and Hades were thrown into the lake of fire. This is the second death, the lake of fire. 15 And if anyone’s name was not found written in the book of life, he was thrown into the lake of fire.

THE BELIEVERS JUDGEMENT (THE REWARD SEAT)

2 Cor 5:9 Therefore we also have as our ambition, whether at home or absent, to be pleasing to Him. 10 For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, so that each one may be recompensed for his deeds in the body, according to what he has done, whether good or bad.

11 Therefore, knowing the fear of the Lord, we persuade men…

1 Cor 3:6-15 I planted, Apollos watered, but God was causing the growth. 7 So then neither the one who plants nor the one who waters is anything, but God who causes the growth. 8 Now he who plants and he who waters are one; but each will receive his own reward according to his own labor. 9 For we are God’s fellow workers; you are God’s field, god’s building. 10 According to the grace of God which was given to me, like a wise master builder I laid a foundation, and another is building on it. But each man must be careful how he builds on it. 11 For no man can lay a foundation other than the one which is laid, which is Jesus Christ. 12 Now if any man builds on the foundation with gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, straw, 13 each man’s work will become evident; for the day will show it because it is to be revealed with fire, and the fire itself will test the quality of each man’s work. 14 If any man’s work which he has built on it remains, he will receive a reward. 15 If any man’s work is burned up, he will suffer loss; but he himself will be saved, yet so as through fire.

Acts 24:25 But as he was discussing righteousness, self-control and the judgment to come, Felix became frightened and said, “go away for the present, and when I find time I will summon you.”

Rom 14:9-12 For to this end Christ died and lived again, that he might be Lord both of the dead and of the living. 10 But you, why do you judge your brother? or you again, why do you regard your brother with contempt? For we will all stand before the judgment seat of God. 11 For it is written, “as I live, says the Lord, every knee shall bow to me, and every tongue shall give praise to God.” 12 So then each one of us will give an account of himself to God.

Rom 2:3 But do you suppose this, o man, when you pass judgment on those who practice such things and do the same yourself, that you will escape the judgment of God?

5 but because of your stubbornness and unrepentant heart you are storing up wrath for yourself in the day of wrath and revelation of the righteous judgment of God, 6 who will render to each person according to his deeds:

16 on the day when, according to my gospel, God will judge the secrets of men through Christ Jesus.

2 Tim 4:1 I Solemnly charge you in the presence of God and of Christ Jesus, who is to judge the living and the dead, and by his appearing and his kingdom

6 …The time of my departure has come. 7 I have fought the good fight, I have finished the course, I have kept the faith; 8 in the future there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on that day; and not only to me, but also to all who have loved his appearing.

OUR FAITH IS ON THE LINE… IT WILL BE TESTED…

1 Pet 1:7 So that the proof of your faith, being more precious than gold which is perishable, even though tested by fire, may be found to result in praise and glory and honor at the revelation of Jesus Christ

Eccl 12:13 All has been heard; the end of the matter is: Fear God [revere and worship Him, knowing that He is] and keep His commandments, for this is the whole of man [the full, original purpose of his creation, the object of god’s providence, the root of character, the foundation of all happiness, the adjustment to all inharmonious circumstances and conditions under the sun] and the whole [duty] for every man.

14 For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it is good or evil.

Psa. 112:1 Praise the LORD! How blessed is the man who fears the LORD, Who greatly delights in His commandments. 2 His descendants will be mighty on earth; The generation of the upright will be blessed. 3 Wealth and riches are in his house, And his righteousness endures forever.

Deut. 28:2 And all these blessings shall come on thee, and overtake thee, if thou shalt hearken unto the voice of the LORD thy God.

3 Blessed shalt thou be in the city, and blessed shalt thou be in the field. 4 Blessed shall be the fruit of thy body, and the fruit of thy ground, and the fruit of thy cattle, the increase of thy kine, and the flocks of thy sheep. 5 Blessed shall be thy basket and thy store.

6 Blessed shalt thou be when thou comest in, and blessed shalt thou be when thou goest out. 7 The LORD shall cause thine enemies that rise up against thee to be smitten before thy face: they shall come out against thee one way, and flee before thee seven ways. 8 The LORD shall command the blessing upon thee in thy storehouses, and in all that thou settest thine hand unto; and he shall bless thee in the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee.

13 And the LORD shall make thee the head, and not the tail; and thou shalt be above only, and thou shalt not be beneath

2 Cor. 9:6 Now this I say, he who sows sparingly shall also reap sparingly; and he who sows bountifully shall also reap bountifully.

7 Let each one do just as he has purposed in his heart; not grudgingly or under compulsion; for God loves a cheerful giver.

8 And God is able to make all grace abound to you, that always having all sufficiency in everything, you may have an abundance for every good deed

Phil. 4:19 But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.

Psa. 5:12 For thou, LORD, wilt bless the righteous; with favour wilt thou compass him as with a shield.

Strength and Renewal

2 Cor. 4:16 For which cause we faint not; but though our outward man perish, yet the inward man is renewed day by day.

Eph. 6:10 Finally, be strong in the Lord, and in the strength of His might. 11 Put on the full armor of God, that you may be able to stand firm against the schemes of the devil.

Eph. 5:15 Therefore be careful how you walk, not as unwise men, but as wise, 16 making the most of your time, because the days are evil.

17 So then do not be foolish, but understand what the will of the Lord is. 18 And do not get drunk with wine, for that is dissipation, but be filled with the Spirit, 19 speaking to one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody with your heart to the Lord;

Psa. 92:10 But my horn shalt thou exalt like the horn of an unicorn: I shall be anointed with fresh oil.

Guidance and the will of the Spirit

Eph. 1:18 The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints, 19 And what is the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who believe, according to the working of his mighty power,

Col. 1:9 For this cause we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for you, and to desire that ye might be filled with the knowledge of his will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding;

10 That ye might walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God;

11 Strengthened with all might, according to his glorious power, unto all patience and longsuffering with joyfulness; 12 Giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light: 13 Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son: 14 In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins:

Relations

Prov. 13:20 He that walketh with wise men shall be wise: but a companion of fools shall be destroyed.

Victorious life

Rom. 8:37 Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.

1 John 5:4 For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.

2Cor. 5:7 For we walk by faith, not by sight

The Consummation of the Ages Pt 2

Last Day’s Living

Heb 9:26 but now once at the consummation (and close) of the ages He has been manifested (appeared) to put away sin by the sacrifice of Himself. 27 And inasmuch as it is appointed for men to die once and after this comes judgment, 28 so Christ also, having been offered once to bear the sins of many, will appear a second time for salvation without reference to sin, to those who eagerly await Him.

1 Cor 10:11 Now these things happened to them as an example, and they were written for our instruction, upon whom the ends of the ages have come.

1 Cor 1:4 I thank my God always concerning you for the grace of God which was given you in ChristJesus, that in everything you were enriched in him, in all speech and all knowledge, even as the testimony concerning Christ was confirmed in you, so that you are not lacking in any gift, awaiting eagerly the revelation of our Lord Jesus Christ,

1 Thess 3:11 Now may our God and Father Himself and Jesus our Lord direct our way to you; And may the Lord cause you to increase and abound in love for one another, and for all people, just as we also do for you; so that he may establish your hearts without blame in holiness before our God and Father at the coming of our Lord Jesus with all his saints.

Philippians 1:6 For I am confident of this very thing, that he who began a good work in you will perfect it until the day of Christ Jesus.

9 And this I pray, that your love may abound still more and more in real knowledge and all discernment, so that you may approve the things that are excellent, in order to be sincere and blameless until the day of Christ

REINFORCING OUR AWARENESS OF THE LAST DAYS

Psa. 102:12 But thou, O LORD, shalt endure for ever; and thy remembrance unto all generations. 13 Thou shalt arise, and have mercy upon Zion: for the time to favor her, yea, the set time, is come.

14 For thy servants take pleasure in her stones, and favor the dust thereof. 15 So the heathen shall fear the name of the LORD, and all the kings of the earth thy glory.

16 When the LORD shall build up Zion, he shall appear in his glory.

Heb 1:1 God, after he spoke long ago to the fathers in the prophets in many portions and in many ways, in these last days has spoken to us in His son.  (GO TO THE TIME LINE… 2K YRS AGO)

1 Pet 1:5 Who are protected by the power of God through faith for a salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.

20 For he was foreknown before the foundation of the world, but has appeared in these last times for the sake of you

Mal 4:5 Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the LORD: 6 And he shall turn the heart of the fathers to the children, and the heart of the children to their fathers, lest I come and smite the earth with a curse.

Luke 1:17 And he shall go before him in the spirit and power of Elias, to turn the hearts of the fathers to the children, and the disobedient to the wisdom of the just; to make ready a people prepared for the Lord.

James 5:7 Be patient therefore, brethren, unto the coming of the Lord. Behold, the husbandman waits for the precious fruit of the

earth, and has long patience for it, until He receive the early and latter rain. 8 Be ye also patient; stablish your hearts: for the coming of the Lord draws nigh.

James 5:17 Elias was a man subject to like passions as we are, and he prayed earnestly that it might not rain: and it rained not on the earth by the space of three years and six months. 18 And he prayedagain, and the heaven gave rain, and the earth brought forth her fruit.

THIS IS WHY PRAYER IS SO IMPORTANT IN OUR SEASON… IT’S ABOUT HARVEST

1 Pet 4:7 But the end of all things is at hand: be ye therefore sober, and watch unto prayer (Luke 21:36).

8 And above all things have fervent love among yourselves: for love shall cover the multitude of sins. 9 Use hospitality one to another without grudging. 10 As every man hath received the gift, even so minister the same one to another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God.

Acts 2:16-20 But this is what was spoken of through the prophet Joel: ‘And it shall be in the last days,’ God says, ‘that I will pour forth of My spirit on all mankind; And your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams; even on my bondslaves, both men and women, I will in those days pour forth of My spirit and they shall prophesy.‘And I will grant wonders in the sky above and signs on the earth below, blood, and fire, and vapor of smoke. ‘The sun will be turned into darkness and the moon into blood, before the great and glorious day of the Lord shall come.  (SECOND COMING)

James 5:7 Be patient therefore, brethren, unto the coming of the Lord. Behold, the husbandman waits for the precious fruit of the earth, and has long patience for it, until He receive the early and latter rain.

THE GOOD LIFE PT 5

HINDERANCES PT 2

John 10:10 The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I came that they may have (a hard) life, and have it more abundantly.

LIFE – ZOE; THE NATURE OF GOD.

ABUNDANTLY MEANS MORE THAN ENOUGH…

MEANS “SUPERABUNDANCE” – IN QUANTITY AND SUPERIOR IN QUALITY.

AMPC “I came that they may have and enjoy life, and have it in abundance (to the full, till itoverflows).

TPT But I have come to give you everything in abundance, more than you expect —life in its fullness until you overflow!

THERE ARE HINDERANCES TO THE ABUNDANT LIFE.

  1. NOT DOING THE WORD

Hosea 4:6 My people are destroyed for a lack of knowledge

PRACTICE BEING A DOER OF THE WORD.

  2. TEMPERANCE… SELF CONTROL – “LACK OF”

Galatians 5:22 but the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control (self restraint); against such things there is no law.

1 Cor 9:24 Do you not know that those who run in a race all run, but only one receives the prize? Run in such a way that you may win. 25 Everyone who competes in the games exercises self-control in all things. They then do it to receive a perishable wreath, but we an imperishable. 26 Therefore i run in such a way, as not without aim; I box in such a way, as not beating the air; 27 but I discipline my bodyand make it my slave, so that, after I have preached to others, I myself will not be disqualified.

LIFE REQUIRES BALANCE AND THAT’S WHERE SELF CONTROL COMES IN

A REAL TEST OF STRENGTH IS HOW MUCH TEMPTATION YOU CAN STAND WITHOUT GIVING IN.

Prov 24:10 If you faint in the day of adversity, your strength is small.

SELF CONTROL HAS TO DO WITH CONTROLING YOURSELF.

IT’S CLEAR IN THE N.T. WE ARE SUPPOSED TO DO SOMETHING WITH OUR MIND AND OUR BODY.

IT’S EASIER TO OPERATE BY RULES AND REGULATIONS THAN TO BE LEAD BY THE SPIRIT.

IF YOU ARE LEAD YOU DON’T NEED A LAW.

1 Cor 6:12 All things are lawful for me, but not all things are profitable. All things are lawful for me, but i will not be mastered by anything.

MANY PEOPLE ARE NOT EXPERIENCING THE ABUNDANT LIFE BECAUSE THEY GET INTO EXTREMES AND EXCESSES

THE SPIRIT WILL LEAD YOU INTO A PROPERLY BALANCED LIFE, WHICH IS GOING TO INCLUDE WHOLENESS AND SUPERABUNDANCE

A KEY TO A BALANCED LIFE IS AVOIDING EXCESSES AND EXTREMES
