“The Resurrected Life”
1. WE HAVE A NEW LIFE. 2 Cor 5:17
PAUL SAID, “I am crucified with Christ.” (Gal 2:20)
PAUL ALSO SAID, “I am risen with Christ.”
Col 3:1 Therefore if you have been raised up with Christ, keep seeking the things above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. 2 Set your mind on the things above, not on the things that are on earth. 3 For you have died and your life is hidden with Christ in God. 4 When Christ, who is our life, is revealed, then you also will be revealed with Him in glory. 5 Therefore consider the members of your earthly body as dead to immorality, impurity, passion, evil desire, and greed, which amounts to idolatry.
2. WE CAN FORGIVE.
Eph 4:32 Be kind to one another, tender-hearted, forgiving each other, just as God in Christ also has forgiven you
5:1 Be Imitators of God Therefore be imitators of God, as beloved children; and walk in love, just as Christ also loved you and gave Himself up for us, an offering and a sacrifice to God 2 as a fragrant aroma.
HE CHANGED MY NATURE FROM HUMAN TO HOLY.
1 Pet 2:23 For you have been born again not of seed which is perishable but imperishable, that is, through the living and enduring word of God.
3. WE CAN SERVE.
Gal 5:13 For you were called to freedom, brethren; only do not turn your freedom into an opportunity for the flesh, but through love serve one another.
4. WE CAN OBEY.
EVERY DAY, WE CAN SURRENDER OUR WILL TO GOD. HE’S GOT A PURPOSE, A JOB, A CALLING FOR US.
Rom 6:17 But thanks be to God that though you were slaves of sin, you became obedient from the heart to that form of teaching to which you were committed, and having been freed from sin, you became slaves of righteousness.
5. WE CAN WIN.
· HE STRIPPED THE DEVIL OF HIS POWER. HE RIPPED OPEN THE GRAVE AND STOOD ALIVE IN MIGHTY POWER.
Col 2:13 When you were dead in your transgressions and the uncircumcision of your flesh, He made you alive together with Him, having forgiven us all our transgressions, 14 having canceled out the certificate of debt consisting of decrees against us, which was hostile to us; and He has taken it out of the way, having nailed it to the cross. 15 When He had disarmed the rulers and authorities, He made a public display of them, having triumphed over them through Him.
Ps 20:5 We will sing for joy over your victory, And in the name of our God we will set up our banners.
1 John 5:4 For whatever is born of God overcomes the world; and this is the victory that has overcome the world—our faith.
2 Cor 2:14 But thanks be to God, who always leads us in triumph in Christ, and manifests through us the sweet aroma of the knowledge of Him in every place.
Rom 8:11 But if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ Jesus from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who dwells in you.
EASTER IS A CELEBRATION OF DEAD PEOPLE WHO HAVE COME ALIVE IN CHRIST.
LIVE. FORGIVE. SERVE. OBEY. WIN.
