we want to develop the habit of connecting our mouth to what we believe.

THE RIGHT TRAINING WHEEL OF FAITH IS LOVE

Rom. 5:5 the love of god has been poured out within our hearts

our love walk plays a huge role in our spiritual development

the only way i can walk in love towards you is to respond from my heart

every time you respond to a situation by walking in love you are developing your spirit and creating the habit of responding from what’s in you.

the left training wheel of faith that helps develop the habit of responding from your heart is thanksgiving.

Heb. 13:15 through him then, let us continually offer up a sacrifice of praise to god, that is, the fruit of lips that give thanks to his name.

2 cor 4:13 i believe therefore i speak

thanksgiving helps develop the habit of hooking your mouth up to what you believe.

Psa. 100:4 Enter his gates with thanksgiving, and his courts with praise. give thanks to him; bless his name.

2Tim. 3:1 but realize this, that in the last days difficult times will come. 2 for men will be lovers of self, lovers of money, boastful, arrogant, revilers, disobedient to parents, ungrateful, unholy,

if you want to be strong in faith learn to cultivate the habit of being thankful, being grateful.

Mark 11:24 “therefore i say to you, all things for which you pray and ask, believe that you have received them, and they shall be granted *you.

Ex. John 11:40 Jesus responded, “didn’t I tell you that you will see God’s glory if you believe?” 41 So they rolled the stone aside. Then Jesus looked up to heaven and said, “Father, thank you for hearing me. 42 You always hear me, but I said it out loud for the sake of all these people standing here, so they will believe you sent me.”
43 Then Jesus shouted, “Lazarus, come out!”

Phil. 4:6 be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to god. 7 and the peace of god, which surpasses all comprehension, shall guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

thanksgiving is done verbally with the mouth and with actions of gratitude.

NLT Psa. 119:7 When I learn your righteous laws, I will thank you by living as I should!

Col. 3:17 and whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the lord Jesus, giving thanks through him to god the father.

when you pray in the spirit paul say’s, you give thanks well. (1 cor 14:17)

Eph. 5:17 so then do not be foolish, but understand what the will of the lord is. 18 and do not get drunk with wine, for that is dissipation, but be filled with the spirit, 19 speaking to one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody with your heart to the lord; 20 always giving thanks for all things in the name of our lord Jesus Christ to god, even the father;

thanksgiving is a habit you can cultivate in order to learn to continually respond from your heart.

Luke 17:11 and it came about while he was on the way to Jerusalem, that he was passing between Samaria and galilee. 12 and as he entered a certain village, ten leprous men who stood at a distance met him; 13 and they raised their voices, saying, “Jesus, master, have mercy on us!” 14 and when he saw them, he said to them, “go and show yourselves to the priests.” and it came about that as they were going, they were cleansed. 15 now one of them, when he saw that he had been healed, turned back, glorifying god with a loud voice, 16 and he fell on his face at his feet, giving thanks to him. And he was a Samaritan. 17 and Jesus answered and said, “were there not ten cleansed? But the nine — where are they? 18 “Was no one found who turned back to give glory to god, except this foreigner?” 19 and he said to him, “rise, and go your way; your faith has made you well.”

thanksgiving coresponds with giving glory to god

Rom. 4:20 Yet, with respect to the promise of god, he did not waver in unbelief, but grew strong in faith, giving glory to God

THANKSGIVING WILL BE THE FRAGRANCE THAT IS LEFT OVER AFTER FAITH HAS BEEN RELEASED

“LOVE ON THE RIGHT”

Mark 11:22 And Jesus answered saying to them, “Have faith in God. 23 “Truly I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be taken up and cast into the sea,’ and does not doubt (differ) in his heart, but believes that what he says is going to happen, it shall be granted him. 24 “Therefore I say to you, all things for which you pray and ask, believe that you have received them, and they shall be granted you.

Romans 10:10 that faith is located in the heart.

If you can learn to respond from a heart of faith you will live victoriously.

Joshua 14:7 Caleb, “i brought back word as it was in my heart.

it’s easy to see the connection between the heart and mouth

Matt. 15:8 ‘This people honors Me with their lips, But their heart is far away from Me.

What you put in your heart is going to help determine what you respond too.

2Cor. 4:13 But having the same spirit of faith, according to what is written, “I believed, therefore I spoke,” we also believe, therefore also we speak;

Ezek. 33:31 “And they come to you as people come, and sit before you as My people, and hear your words, but they do not do them, for they do the lustful desires expressed by their mouth, and their heart goes after their gain.

The training wheels that will help you develop the habit of hooking your mouth up to the word in your heart.

Acts 7:58 And when they had driven him out of the city, they began stoning him, and the witnesses laid aside their robes at the feet of a young man named Saul. 59 And they went on stoning Stephen as he called upon the Lord and said, “Lord Jesus, receive my spirit!” 60 And falling on his knees, he cried out with a loud voice, “Lord, do not hold this sin against them!” And having said this, he fell asleep.

Rom. 5:5 the love of God has been poured out within our hearts

OUR LOVE WALK PLAYS A HUGE ROLE IN OUR SPIRITUAL DEVELOPMENT

2Th. 1:3 We ought always to give thanks to God for you, brethren, as is only fitting, because your faith is greatly enlarged, and the love of each one of you toward one another grows ever greater

WE PROBABLY HAVE MORE OPPORTUNITIES TO WALK IN LOVE THAN WE DO FAITH

WE ARE TO RESPOND TO ONE ANOTHER BASED ON WHAT WE BELIEVE NOT WHAT WE FEEL OR HOW THE DAY IS GOING.

Eph. 4:32 And be kind to one another, tender-hearted, forgiving each other, just as God in Christ also has forgiven you.

LEARNING THE LOVE WALK TEACHES YOU THE BALANCE OF FAITH.

Rom. 12:10 Be devoted to one another in brotherly love; give preference to one another in honor

Rom. 13:8 Owe nothing to anyone except to love one another; for he who loves his neighbor has fulfilled the law.

1Cor. 13:8 Love never fails – you can’t fall down!
