“Get Your Praise On” Pt 2

“Position Yourselves”

Psa. 107:21 Let them praise the lord for his great love and for all his wonderful deeds to them. 22 Let them offer sacrifices of thanksgiving and sing joyfully about his glorious acts.

He’s provided a mantle for us! Is 61

LUCIFER WAS ORIGINALLY IN CHARGE OF THE MUSIC OF HEAVEN.
Ezk 28:13 You were in Eden, the garden of God; Every precious stone was your covering: The ruby, the topaz and the diamond; The beryl, the onyx and the jasper; The lapis lazuli, the turquoise and the emerald; And the gold, the workmanship of your settings and sockets, Was in you. On the day that you were created They were prepared.

MUSIC AND PRAISE WAS AND IS INTENDED FOR GOD.

Ps 42:8 The Lord will command His lovingkindness in the daytime;
And His song will be with me in the night, A prayer to the God of my life.

PRAISE POSITIONS YOU!

SO HOW DO WE DO IT?

WITH OUR MOUTH or LIPS
Psa. 109:30 With my mouth I will give thanks abundantly to the lord; and in the midst of many I will praise him.

Psa 34:1 I will bless the lord at all times; His praise shall continually be in my mouth.

Psa 63:3 Because your lovingkindness is better than life, my lips will praise you. 4 So I will bless you as long as I live; I will lift up my hands in your name. 5 My soul is satisfied as with marrow and fatness, and my mouth offers praises with joyful lips.

Psa 71:8 Let my mouth be filled with thy praise and with thy honour all the day.

AT THE DEDICATION OF THE TEMPLE:
2 Chr. 5:13 in unison when the trumpeters and the singers were to make themselves heard with one voice to praise and to glorify the lord, and when they lifted up their voice accompanied by trumpets and cymbals and instruments of music, and when they praised the lord saying, “He indeed is good for his lovingkindness is everlasting,” then the house, the house of the Lord, was filled with a cloud, 14 so that the priests could not stand to minister because of the cloud, for the glory of the Lord filled the house of god.

REMEMBER JEHOSHAPHAT – 2Chr. 20:1Now it came about after this that the sons of Moab and the sons of Ammon, together with some of the Meunites, came to make war against Jehoshaphat. 2 Then some came and reported to Jehoshaphat, saying, “A great multitude is coming against you from beyond the sea, out of Aram and behold, they are in Hazazon-tamar (that is Engedi).” 3 Jehoshaphat was afraid and turned his attention to seek the Lord, and proclaimed a fast throughout all Judah. 4 So Judah gathered together to seek help from the Lord; they even came from all the cities of Judah to seek the Lord.

12 O our God, will You not judge them? For we are powerless before this great multitude who are coming against us; nor do we know what to do, but our eyes are on You.”

15 Do not fear or be dismayed because of this great multitude, for the battle is not yours but God’s.

17 You need not fight in this battle; station yourselves, stand and see the salvation of the Lord on your behalf, O Judah and Jerusalem.’ Do not fear or be dismayed; tomorrow go out to face them, for the Lord is with you.”

AMP – Take your positions!

20 When they went out, Jehoshaphat stood and said, “Listen to me, O Judah and inhabitants of Jerusalem, put your trust in the Lord your God and you will be established. Put your trust in His prophets and succeed.”
21 When he had consulted with the people, he appointed those who sang to the Lord and those who praised Him in holy attire,

WE NEED TO BE SKILLED PRAISERS BECAUSE WE ARE GOING TO EXPERIENCE OPPOSITION…

Vs 17 SAID, “Go out and face them”.

THIS POSITION OF PRAISE IS SOMETHING YOU CHOOSE NOT SOMETHING GOD ASSIGNS YOU.

PRACTICE PRAISE… CULTIVATE PRAISE… DO IT WITH YOUR MOUTH.

PRAISERS ARE PEOPLE WHO KNOW HOW TO KEEP SINGING WHEN THEY DON’T SEE WHAT IS DESIRED.

21 When he had consulted with the people, he appointed those who sang to the Lord and those who praised Him in holy attire, (The beauty of holiness) (Holy array – attire)

as they went out before the army and said, “Give thanks to the Lord, for His lovingkindness is everlasting.” 22 When they began singing and praising, the Lord set ambushes against the sons of Ammon, Moab and Mount Seir, who had come against Judah; so they were routed.
