Healing for your Body
1Cor. 12:27 now you are christ’s body, and individually members of it.
1Cor. 6:13 food is for the stomach, and the stomach is for food; but god will do away with both of them. yet the body is not for immorality, but for the lord; and the lord is for the body.
The Lord is not obligated to keep that which is not obligated and in service for him.
1Cor. 6:15 do you not know that your bodies are members of christ? shall i then take away the members of christ and make them members of a harlot? may it never be!
Q. Does God want sickness in the body of Christ?
WE ARE NOT ONLY THE BODY OF CHRIST WE ARE THE TEMPLE OF THE HOLY SPIRIT.
1Cor. 6:19 or do you not know that your body is a temple of the holy spirit who is in you, whom you have from god, and that you are not your own? 20 for you have been bought with a price: therefore glorify god in your body.
1Cor. 3:16 do you not know that you are a temple of god, and that the spirit of god dwells in you? 17 if any man destroys the temple of god, god will destroy him, for the temple of God is holy, and that is what you are.
There are 2 ways to understand this
1. All of us together make up a temple
2. Personally my body is the temple
17 If any man destroys the temple of god, god will destroy him, for the temple of god is holy, and that is what you are.
God wants you to have a strong house
Matt. 21:12 and Jesus entered the temple and cast out all those who were buying and selling in the temple, and overturned the tables of the moneychangers and the seats of those who were selling doves.
13 and he said to them, “it is written, ‘my house shall be called a house of prayer’; but you are making it a robbers’ den.” 14 and the blind and the lame came to him in the temple, and he healed them.
Rom. 14:6 he who observes the day, observes it for the lord, and he who eats, does so for the lord, for he gives thanks to God; and he who eats not, for the Lord he does not eat, and gives thanks to god.
7 for not one of us lives for himself, and not one dies for himself; 8 for if we live, we live for the Lord, or if we die, we die for the lord; therefore whether we live or die, we are the Lord’s.
1Cor. 6:19 that you are not your own? 20 for you have been bought with a price (the blood)
Sickness profanes the temple of God
Lev. 21:16 then the Lord spoke to moses, saying, 17 “speak to Aaron, saying, ‘no man of your offspring throughout their generations who has a defect shall approach to offer the bread of his god. 18 ‘for no one who has a defect shall approach: a blind man, or a lame man, or he who has a disfigured face, or any deformed limb, 19 or a man who has a broken foot or broken hand, 20 or a hunchback or a dwarf, or one who has a defect in his eye or eczema or scabs or crushed testicles. 21 ‘no man among the descendants of Aaron the priest, who has a defect, is to come near to offer the lord’s offerings by fire; since he has a defect, he shall not come near to offer the bread of his god. 22 ‘he may eat the bread of his god, both of the most holy and of the holy, 23 only he shall not go in to the veil or come near the altar because he has a defect, that he may not profane my sanctuaries. for I am the Lord who sanctifies them.’”
