Hunger Traps Pt 2

“The Pride of Life”

Ps 124:7 Our soul has escaped as a bird out of the snare of the trapper; The snare is broken and we have escaped.

Ps 91:3 For it is He who delivers you from the snare of the trapper

nas 1John 2:15 Do not love the world, nor the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the father is not in him.

16 For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh and the lust of the eyes and the boastful pride of life, is not from the Father, but is from the world. 17 And the world is passing away, and also its lusts; but the one who does the will of god abides forever.

the trapper only sets traps where he see’s the tracks!

whatever your hungry for is what your fruit becomes.

Matt 4:5 Then the devil took him into the holy city; and he had him stand on the pinnacle of the temple, 6 and said to him,  “if you are the son of god throw yourself down; for it is written,  ‘he will give his angels charge concerning you’; and ‘on their hands they will bear you up, lest you strike your foot against a stone.’”

No one is ever exempt from dealing w pride

pride is satan’s chemical warfare.  you fail and don’t even know why.

prov 16:5 “proud in heart – an abomination to the Lord”

pride hides itself in terms like; progressive and motivation and i can do it.  i’m not worthy/not good enough.

James 4:6 god resists the proud.

the fall of satan.

Is. 14:13  “But you said in your heart, I will ascend to heaven; I will raise my throne above the stars of God, and I will sit on the mount of assembly in the recesses of the north. 14 ‘I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will make myself like the most high.’

pride is always into promoting itself.

2Tim 3:1 But realize this that in the last days difficult times will come. 2 for men will be lovers of self, lovers of money, boastful, arrogant, revilers, disobedient to parents, ungrateful, unholy,

3 unloving, irreconcilable, malicious gossips, without self-control, brutal, haters of good, 4 treacherous, reckless, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of god; 5 holding to a form of godliness, although they have denied its power; and avoid such men as these.

pride say’s, “i gotta do something”.

PEOPLE HAVE TO get past the pressure of pride, the pressure to perform, the pressure to prove, the pressure to keep up with the jones’s.

pride is trying to make things happen instead of letting things happen.

1Tim 6:6 But godliness actually is a means of great gain, when accompanied by contentment.
