Overcoming Fear

“The Spirit of ?”

Mark 4:35 On that day, when evening came, He *said to them, “Let us go over to the other side.”

HIS WORDS ARE EMPOWERMENT…

THE PROVISION IS CONNECTED TO THE WORD.

36 Leaving the crowd, they *took Him along with them in the boat, just as He was; and other boats were with Him. 37 And there *arose a fierce gale of wind, and the waves were breaking over the boat so much that the boat was already filling up.

ENCOUNTERING A STORM DOESN’T MEAN YOU MISSED GOD.

38 Jesus Himself was in the stern, asleep on the cushion

ALL OF THE DEVILS QUESTIONING IS HIS WAY OF TRYING TO GET YOU TO BELIEVE “GOD DOESN’T CARE”

38 Jesus Himself was in the stern, asleep on the cushion; and they *woke Him and *said to Him, “Teacher, do You not care that we are perishing?” And He got up and rebuked the wind and said to the sea, “Hush (Peace), be still.” And the wind died down and it became perfectly calm.

40 But He said to them, “Why are you so fearful? How is it that you have no faith?”

2 Cor 2:14 “Thanks be to god who always causes me to triumph”

41 And they feared exceedingly, and said to one another, “Who can this be, that even the wind and the sea obey Him!”

2 Cor 4:13 And since we have the same spirit of faith, according to what is written, “I believed and therefore I spoke,” we also believe and therefore speak,

16 Therefore we do not lose heart. Even though our outward man is perishing, yet the inward man is being renewed day by day.

18 while we do not look at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen. For the things which are seen are temporary, but the things which are not seen are eternal.

5:7 For we walk by faith, not by sight.

2 Tim 1:2 To Timothy, a beloved son: Grace, mercy, and peace from God the Father and Christ Jesus our Lord. 3 I thank God, whom I serve with a pure conscience, as my forefathers did, as without ceasing I remember you in my prayers night and day, 4 greatly desiring to see you, being mindful of your tears, that I may be filled with joy,

5 when I call to remembrance the genuine faith that is in you, which dwelt first in your grandmother Lois and your mother Eunice, and I am persuaded is in you also.

6 Therefore I remind you to stir up the gift of God which is in you through the laying on of my hands. 7 For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.
