The Blessed Life

By Pastor Brody Christian

Matthew 7:1-2 NKJV

“Judge not, that you be not judged. For with what judgment you judge, you will be judged; and with the measure you use, it will be measured back to you.

Luke 6:37 Vs 38 NKJV

37 “Judge not, and you shall not be judged. Condemn not, and you shall not be condemned. Forgive, and you will be forgiven. 38 Give, and it will be given to you: good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over will be put into your bosom. For with the same measure that you use, it will be measured back to you.”

WE ARE THE MOST LIKE GOD, WHEN WE GIVE

Matt. 6:2121 For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.

GOD’S PLAN IS FOR YOU TO LIVE A BLESSED LIFE!

TO LIVE THE BLESSED LIFE…WE HAVE TO DEVELOP OUR HEART!

  1. YOU CAN NOT HAVE A SELFISH HEART

DEUTERONOMY 15:7-8

“If there is among you a poor man of your brethren, within any of the gates in your land which the Lord your God is giving you, you shall not harden your heart nor shut your hand from your poor brother, but you shall open your hand wide to him and willingly lend him sufficient for his need, whatever he needs.

LUKE 12:15-21

15 And He said to them, “Take heed and beware of covetousness, for one’s life does not consist in the abundance of the things he possesses.”

Msg- protect yourself from the least bit of greed. Life is not defined by what you have, even when you have a lot

16 Then He spoke a parable to them, saying: “The ground of a certain rich man yielded plentifully. 17 And he thought within himself, saying, ‘What shall I do, since I have no room to store my crops?’ 18 So he said, ‘I will do this: I will pull down my barns and build greater, and there I will store all my crops and my goods. 19 And I will say to my soul, “Soul, you have many goods laid up for many years; take your ease; eat, drink, and be merry.” ’ 20 But God said to him, ‘Fool! This night your soul will be required of you; then whose will those things be which you have provided?’

21 “So is he who lays up treasure for himself, and is not rich toward God.”

  1. YOU HAVE TO DEAL WITH A GRIEVING HEART

DEUTERONOMY 15:10

10 You shall surely give to him, and your heart should not be grieved when you give to him, because for this thing the Lord your God will bless you in all your works and in all to which you put your hand.

SELFISHNESS ATTACKS US BEFORE WE GIVE…BUT GRIEFE ATTACKS US AFTER WE GIVE

  1. YOU HAVE TO DEVELOP A GENEROUS HEART

DEUTERONOMY 15:14

14 you shall supply him liberally from your flock, from your threshing floor, and from your winepress. From what the Lord your God has blessed you with, you shall give to him.

  1. YOU HAVE TO DEVELOP A GRATEFUL HEART

DEUTERONOMY 15:15

15 You shall remember that you were a slave in the land of Egypt, and the Lord your God redeemed you; therefore I command you this thing today.

YOU HAVE TO REMEMBER WHERE YOU USED TO BE
